  1. I'm gonna get my own modem I didn't even know I could do that
  2. I have got my own router but as I said there's no way to turn of that second wifi network if the modem is plugged in
  3. It's unsecured but you need to be a customer of the isp when you connect it asks you to log into you account to access the internet that network. And it doesn't shut off when you turn the wifi off but it still effects my speed.
  4. It's not that I'm a jerk it's that my isp router send off two wireless network my own and an extra one for anyone who is also with my isp so they can login to the router and use wifi away from their own router but my internet connection suffers from people streaming Netflix off of my router. I went and got a separate wifi router but the unsecured wifi seems to be hard wired into the modem and I can't turn it off
  5. Well what about routing the non approved MAC addresses to to a certain website so no matter what site the try to go to they can only visit a single webpage.
  6. A long time ago I saw a post about someone who secured his wifi by filtering out MAC address but anyone could still connect and browse the internet the only issue was that all the web pages would load upside down and reversed as though they were viewed in a mirror. it this something that can actually be done or was it just a fake post to make people chuckle and if it's possible how can I do this for myself
  7. I have a Sennheiser PC 363D headset for my gaming computer and have been using the included USB dac and the software that sennheiser made to go along with it. Would I see any improvement over my current setup if I upgraded to the Sound blasterX G5? I'm not planning to upgrade my headset just yet but I am upgrading to a Blue Yeti USB microphone. It's on massdrop right now and don't know if it's worth. It it's definitely prettier then the Sennheiser dac. And this could be used for more the just my pc right? Thanks to any one who can help me out.
  8. Hi I have a gaming pc running windows 10 and a macbook that I'd like to be able to use to remote desktop my pc with but I cant seem to do it with the home version of Windows 10 is there a way to do this without additional software
  9. Thats what i had thought but wasnt 100% on it thanks very much
  10. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/LYXJwV So I was wondering if i could use SLI and Add in card to give me some extra Usb 3.0 plugs i know i can just but a Usb hub but id like to not have my desk cluttered up with more stuff. On my Mobo spec sheet is says that theres 2 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (CPU) 3 x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots (PCH) 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (PCH) Does this mean that even tho ive got a 6700k i can still run SLI and an additional x1 pci card?
  11. trying this but i dont think it will work the card hard enough in windowed mode i only have on monitor right now its running only at 61 degrees 90% power
  12. Ive done that the temp stays in the low 70s
  13. all the drivers are the correct ones and are up to date
  14. the card wont overclock at all i tried but couldn't push more power into the card so ive left it at stock speeds
  15. hey guys Ive recently finished putting my rig together and pairing it with a monitor and started having some issues with the graphics card crashing on me. so until Tuesday i was using a 1080 TV as a main display but i now got a new high refresh rate gaming monitor and started getting crashes. up until the game in this case its over-watch running at max settings the game runs beautifully but after three or four matches the game randomly crashes. the message i get is "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" so naturally i googled it and found a reg edit called "tdrdelay" that i could add into the registry the game no longer crashed but i started getting unloaded textures in random places im not sure what is causing these issues has anyone had this problem and if so how have you fixed it My set up http://pcpartpicker.com/list/9zpBLD current fix https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2665946
