  1. You were correct, It switches on and off and different intervals. I checked it with my multimeter. Thank You
  2. That's great thanks, I already managed to figure out the batteries and what I will need for that but it's more the control I was trying to work out. I never thought of the on and off-time thing. That might be a good suggestion and would be a lot easier to do. When the plug arrrives later today I will test with my multimeter and see what its doing. Thanks!
  3. Hi All, I have this battery pack, it's for my heated vest for scuba diving. It is only 2200mAh but I would like to have a higher capacity battery and would like to make my own battery pack. I don't want to modify the existing one as it's brand new and don't want to duff the warranty. The unit has 4 output modes as shown in the picture. The button is pressed and held to turn on, then pressed to cycle through the modes. What would be the best way to replicate this functionality? Do you think it's limiting the current? or changing voltage? I have a connector coming today and I can see what's happening with my multimeter. I would also have the desire to have this wirelessly controlled too as it's worn under a drysuit and would be cool to change levels wirelessly. but that can come at a later stage. Any suggestions as to what I can use for this project would be much appreciated. Thanks

  6. Yes, I have a little OC running too. GPU only showing upto 50% Load I will try this thanks
  7. Hello, Ive finally got my Strix 3080 OC after waiting since Launch day! Though i’m having a strange issue.... I’ve tried a few games and no matter the settings or resolution it seems to cap out at 106FPS V-Sync Is OFF and the games have no frame limit enabled. i was wondering there is any other things that could cause this, I have it set up at the moment on my LG CX at 4K 120Hz and every game i’ve tried no matter the setting max’s at 106fps Any ideas appreciated!
  8. Yes I'm sure it is. I have an H100i GT at the moment, I know its not ideal for this CPU but will be swapping soon. I had checked mounting a few weeks ago and re-applied paste which helped a little. Its been fine though never gets too hot. So you guys don't think that voltage is too high? From 1.368V down to 1.080V The weird thing I don't understand is why the VCORE Drops so much when I tweak a setting as if it overwrites something else. I'm not sure exactly what info you would like from HWInfo as I've never used it before...
  9. Hey All, I've been having problems with extremely high idle temps. I notice my VCORE seems high. I have updated bios and loaded optimized defaults and not changed a thing see my HW Monitor Pic Attached. When I Open Asus Dual Intelligent Processors 5 and change the clock and then back again. The VCore Drops and all is ok. I cant understand why this is happening. Any Help would be appreciated . Thanks,
  10. Thanks, I found this G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 3600MHz RAM C17 would that be a better option its £55 more expensive
  11. Thanks for that. Are you able to elaborate a little what that means. I have a heard about the Fclock and stuff but not read much on it. Thanks
  12. Hi All, I have a Ryzen 3950X and I have been using my memory I carried over from my i7 6700K Build. My Current is 2666MHz C16 Vengeance LPX 4x8GB I was looking to upgrade memory but feel like its more of a mine field than I thought. I will be looking for 4x16GB but likely just buy 2x16GB to start with. I understand how to work out latency etc but I cant decide what will be better for me.. I am Looking Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB 3600MHz C18 But I see they do 3200Mhz C16 and 3000MHz C15 these all work out to have the same real latency so what one would you pick? Open to any other suggestions too. I used my computer for Gaming, Video Production & 3D Work Any Help Much appreciated
  13. Hey, I have a few months ago upgraded from a 6700K to a 3950X I just kept my 32GB’s of memory from the old build. It is 2133mhz. I was wondering if there would be any much benefit upgrading memory now or will it not make much difference? Ie getting faster memory. Thanks, Ally
  14. I have Steel-series Arctic Pro Wireless and can say they are very good and worth a look
  15. If possible it may be best to backup all your files manually and do a fresh windows install. Sometime fresh install is good, also less hassle.
  16. I dont think there is much In most blender benchmarks ive seen the AMD is usually up at the top and much more bang for buck
  17. Thanks for the info ill have a think, but going from Intel to AMD their is no features to be lost or anything?
  18. Yea but those jumps weren't that big? I feel the bigger the jump its easier ofcourse?
  19. 1. Do you make a living on your rendering? No 2. Do you just want to buy something? Probably Haha! 3. Are you very unhappy with your present system's performance? Not totally You have got your sensible hat on today lol
  20. I get what your saying but really with the rate thing come out you could always argue that one could wait for next release...
  21. Hey all, I've been rocking my 6700K now for a a good few years, I think it was around August 2015 just after release. now just realizing its pretty much 5 years old and things have a came a way since then, so was thinking it was about time for an upgrade. I was toying with threadripper but thinking its maybe a little too pricey for what I do. I just Mainly play some general gaming, use adobe premiere pro and after effects But i have started to get into blender and unity a bit now and think the 6700K is holding me up a bit. Im thinking the AMD 3950X would be a good choice for this as render performance seems much more bang for buck with AMD but my concern is will I loose any features moving away from Intel? Any thoughts much appreciated.. Thanks, Ally
  22. Hey all, ive been looking for a second hand laptop max around £300 for using at work in a factory for connecting to PLC's just looking for something cheap as its gonna get scrapped and bashed so no point spending alot. I have been looking at two variants of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, One has a Core i5-5300U and the other a Core i7-4600U. I can decided which would boast the better performance as the i5 is on a new architecture, faster base clock but not as high a turbo... The i7 is £50 more expensive. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Ally
  23. Thanks for the information! Much Appreciated
