Right, here's my problem i have a spare computer that i wanted to put windows on. So i decided to get it out and install windows on to i found an empty HDD and decided to put my boot USB in the computer. It's then went to a black screen with the error message saying that the Boot/Bcd is corrupted or missing please get your windows instillation disk and press enter. I was saying to myself "i all ready have my Bootable USB in the USB slot" so i went and checked the bios to see if it was being detected. It was so i thought maybe it was just a dodgy HDD so i went and got a tone of them and when i say a tone i mean 20 from this massive box i had upstairs! I carry them all down to my room and start plugging them in one by one all but a single drive worked and even then the one that did work took me to Pfsense and not my windows boot on my USB. I then thought it might be my USB so i knew went and got all 10 of my USB's... I s**t you not i took all of them and installed Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and even Vista and all of them gave me the same error "Boot/BCD 0xc000000e". By this point i was pretty pissed and was losing focus on the challenge at hand so i decided to launch it without the HDD even plugged in and i'm still getting the error. By this point i was just confused i thought that only Windows saved to the HDD i didn't think it would store information any where else. I don't know what to do i'm lost for ideas. I've had issues before but i've solved them in time this one has taken me all most a week I've searched google to no success. and help is much appreciated i might even fly to where you live and kiss you if this goes on for long enough.
If your wondering what the spec's on this machine are they are as followed:
CPU:Intel pentium
Motherboard: Intel serverboard
RAM: 4GB of ECC memory
HDD: A bunch of them but I've tested and they all work fine.
I know it's safe to say that there's no issues with these parts as they where able to launch Pfsense. I was thinking to try Linux but i don't want to waste my time in less anyone here says try it.
