  1. Dont get your hopes up for the "magic 4g" Settle for a quiet cheap cooler and 3.8 , 3.9. Stock is good, its still loud if you have pc on your desk. I imagine overclocking would make it unbearable even to non-quietPC freaks.

everything is an overclock i suppose but i dont know how panels work. or not

    Enabling 75hz

im pretty sure the 75hz works, but the panel basicly cannot handle it and goes beserk

I cannot give you solution. I almost bought the same monitor, until i read bad reviews of this monitor. Some horizontal lines appearing on higher refreshes. I have samsung freesync 72hz for similar price now. I suggest you do the same. Try running it at different hz. like 72. Or 59.999 or whatever. Try setting in windows setting also.
  5. Ok, im able to get Nvidia 3d Vision 2 for 85 €, lightly used What can i do to make use of it? People say projectors are awesome. Where can you buy one? SHOULD i buy one? Two? Apparently old 3D Samsung TVs support checkboard rendering, meaning id have to buy one thats from 2012, 2013. And i could buy one for 410€ Id like to stay cheap, but if its worth it, im willing to shell out. I was blown away by how 3D is better than 2D in gaming and i dont like the resolution of either Rift, Vive or any other, its just unplayable + i cant play all games, or at all.
  6. its really not man, trust me. you will want RealVision Remastered for GTA 5, not stock you will want Skyrim ENB not stock Seriously get better gpu. Or wait for i3 from intel if you really want to save up.
  7. I have 1600 and 1050ti. And if you will only game, i strongly suggest you to buy better gpu.
  8. might do in future but my income is extremely tight at the moment and i didnt want to loose extra 4 threads as i want PC to last. but you are right, should have considered to do as quiet build as possible when i was buying pc.
  9. I want to downvolt to make my pc quiet. But i dont know the right way, could someone point me in the right direction? Tried to do it in bios, got crashes. Also i dont want to destroy my pc. Mobo is MSI PC MATE My PSU would also run quieter with lower load as its ramp up pretty heavily.
  10. not that much of difference dual/single ( gigabyte option anyway )
  11. i3 6100 and its the cheapest intel you should get for gaming, as some games dont even work anymore on 2 cores
  12. 3gb ? nah either Gtx 980 or RX 480 4gb suppose 980 will have a bit more grunt
  13. transition at AMD side is 470 460 is very slow, and even AMD advertises it as DOTA and LOL card at nvidia side there isnt even released low end anything pascal yet sooo... and also idk about memory cripple, but performance wise, 1060 3gb can run any game without ridiculus settings that bring even 1080 down.
  14. could someone with heavy OC6700k test that and report on fps, pretty sure it would beat the cpus in video.
  15. For headset, i guess the platronics 388 or logitech 430, but for headphones, you can probably get ISK hp 2011 (superb) or 2010 if its too expensive. Tho they are hard to find. In fact, youd have more luck getting them straight from china, or asking reseller to get em. Thats how my seller got em, when i asked for 3 pairs they had to order from china. sturdy, comfy. bought 3 pairs myself. isk is brother company of takstar, that makes pro 80 or the hyperx clouds Clamp is on a tight side, but without glasses its good. Line is sturdy and wont break so easily. Still, its not detachable.
  16. not for the price it isnt i can get IPS, 75 hz, freesync... for 140 euros.
  17. thanks for clarification yea, i didnt take latency into consideration when talking about UDweb, i am so biased >P . still i might dig a little deeper.
  18. Unlimited Detail (point cloud), ... is limited... by your monitor resolution. Oh and hard drive space, obviously. This engine already proved itself working well. They just need to develop good game SDK, and from then professional game makers will be able to create... well much better games than Euclideon. Thats not to say there games and minigames are rubbish, its just they are made from stick and stones. Literally. Scanned random objects, put in game, bam environment. If you are interested in, supposedly unlimited detail point cloud renderer similar or even same power than euclideon, check David Eriksson Point cloud simplification and processing for path-planning and Approximate distance queries for path-planning in massive point clouds. Your first point about Euclideons unlimited claim. Well David, smart guy is doctor of philosophy applied mathemathics. I cite from his CV https://people.cam.cornell.edu/~dme65/cv.pdf" Applied Researcher Fraunhofer – Chalmers Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden Point Cloud Visualization I worked on visualization of huge point clouds with billions of points. It is of great interest to be able to visualize massive point clouds, but limitations in both RAM and graphic card memory make it impossible to render all the points in the point cloud with enough frames per second. The visualization software I developed in C++ is capable of rendering 50+ FPS with unlimited detail on a standard graphics card for point clouds having billions of points. The software reads points directly from the hard disk drive to the GPU when needed."
  19. Again you are confusing stuff. Comon guys its not so hard to understand and they even adress this in explanation that are very simple. You are here saying that ". Impressed because it realy is an incredibly fast voxel viewer, underwhelmed because the quality sucked (aliasing, huge problem with point clouds/voxels in general) and because the streaming in of additional chunks was very noticeable which is a no go for games. " yet its not voxel based renderer, and the streaming of chunks is not even done the way other renderers do it and is only present IF THERE IS LATENCY FROM INTERNET OR SOURCE OR THERE IS TOO BIG LOAD ON SOURCE. Its not inherent to their algorithm, and if you didnt judge their algorithm by the UDweb demo, you would see there is no chuk-ing going on when you have point cloud stored on your harddrive. I am not 100 percent sure, but streaming points is different than streaming big packets of points and i am pretty sure potree is not doing former in some way you are describing or whatever. Thats more like downloading than streaming. Udweb streams points from hard drive from australia-i suppose to your PC realtime, for each pixel on screen it takes point from point cloud and sends to you, basically directly on your monitor. And euclideons UD is much more powerful, even if potree is cool and runs well. If we all agree potree is cool, how cool would be if it had more power and be able to run games? Hell yeah, wed be all excited. I am, for euclideon. Now I might be horribly mistaken right now, but since we know how the UD works, UDweb demo should, theoretically work the same way plus the distance it needs to travel on internet wires. I asked the dev again, hope he answers how the potree works.
  20. fine, if you dont believe me go ask the guy yourself. the points are not streamed from their hard drive to your PC. i would give you proof, but i have deleted many of my old yt accounts so they are not visible anymore. nor does it states on their page anywhere or youtube that they are streaming points. its only you who makes stuff up. i notice this alot with people biased to hating on Euclideon modern grade lighting is getting worked on. takes time. UE4 wasnt made in a year you know. takes even more time is zou have a new waz of rendering models and its not voxels
  21. Data, the points being streamed. Potree is not streamed, i talked to dev on youtube. Its just intended for web viewing. Its cool, useful, nice but not UD Ray tracing is too taxing. @Well, you can, but that means you can't have any game mechanic where lighting in general changes (like the time of day, you can't have day and night cycle since the mountain will be constantly lit). lol what bro, i think you read somewhere that they have prebaked lighting, and now you are confusing everything.
  22. This brilliant guy, David Eriksson claims he worked on point cloud visual SW, and even calls it unlimited detail. https://people.cam.cornell.edu/~dme65/cv.pdf Read his thesis here, but you probably can find other, he even has yutub video out and its description " Visualization software written in OPENGL for point clouds having billions of points. The software runs on a standard PC and uses no more than 50 MB of RAM and doesn't allocate more than a few 100 MB on the graphics card. The screen resolution was set to 1920x1080. The software reads points directly from the hard disk drive to the GPU when needed. The camera was moved using the mouse which is why some movements seem non-smooth, but looking at the FPS there is no drop anywhere. " From his LInkedIn " I worked on visualization of large point clouds and I designed a visualization software that is capable of rendering 50+ FPS for point clouds having billions of points. My method uses less than 50 MB of RAM and reads points directly from the hard disk drive to the GPU when needed. Similar frame rates were seen when storing the point cloud data on a USB drive connected to a USB 2.0 port. All tests were carried out on a pretty mediocre graphics card with no more than 1 GB of memory. The software runs on only one thread with a low CPU load making it suitable to run in the background visualizing the results from a simulation. A newly designed search algorithm makes it possible to do only a few million draws per frame (at the resolution 1920x1080) and very few reads from the hard drive are necessary for each frame. This makes this new method significantly better than many existing visualization softwares where points are read from the hard disk drive first when the user stops moving the camera in order to keep a high FPS. My method will always render a perfect frame no matter how fast the camera is moving since it knows exactly what points are visible at each frame. " Sounds familiar ? Sounds to me like Euclideons hehe. I would love to hear from you what you think about it. You have knowledge, or at least some clue to understand and take in the papers. Cheers and have fun reading
