  1. I'm looking for some noise cancelling bluetooth headphones (sorta like QC35s), I have £100 at the moment, Should I save more or is there something worth the money I can buy right now?
  2. If you don't know who this idiot is, its a person that nearly won the X factor UK.
  3. With a decent SSD you can install games on it, sometimes it's nice to do that.
  4. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/G6JYRG The CS1311 is crap at 4K writes and reads BTW
  5. He won't even have enough till march (My guess) next year, it can wait. As for the GPU, it will probably be a no thanks, And by that i mean, He wants it to play roblox, maybe he will change with this though, because he currently only has a Celeron laptop. Although he says he will play TF2 aswell.
  6. It's not time for a flamewar guys lol I will be waiting for Kaby lake for the CPU, Haven't heard about the new amd GPUs though.
  7. Upgradability and makes no noticeable difference from what i hear.

  9. Its bezel is less than a cm, i am not sure about the input lag, but it is intended for gaming hence the freesync inclution, but i love it, and i don't notice any lag nor does a friend that plays cs:go.
  10. the 27ud68 from LG is one of the greatest monitors i have ever owned.
  11. Not for game servers, but let's say i want to render files on a server instead of bogging down my computer, 1080 would allow that to be faster, bringing me to my next point, faster file transfers and less ping. If you write the program specifically to do so then you can. Or running multiple instancies. A custom game. Unlikely at the scale that it will be at at the start, keep in mind that that VPN plan has 10Gbit bandwidth and will have more ddos protection than that on their side. When i need an upgrade, like i get DDosed with more than the provider can handle, then i will think about it. Right now the best i can test is 1Gbit, that is combining my 5 Friend's 200Mbit uploads and my 12Mbit upload, For just over 1Gbit, When i have the chance to test greater, I will.
  12. I know it's a web hosting plan, I am pointing out that ddos protection is available for it, and it just so happens i own that plan, i have a test site hosted on it and i have tested the DDOS protection up to 1Gbit. This is one of the VPN plans they offer, which will probably be what i will buy for the server. http://www.fortknoxhostingsolutions.com/product/ddos-protected-vpn-package-fast-10gbps-uplink/
  13. Multiple different game servers, for different games. and you can optimise them to use more than one core. And looks like you are wrong, OVH doesn't seem offer 1070s, 1080s or titan Xs (Only the 1060 and the tesla range)in their servers, something i could put in if i host it. I still get to keep the hardware if i stop using the server, unlike rental. Again mentioning that the hardware can be customised or upgraded, lets say i have a ddr3 dimm laying around, I can just chuck it into the server (Providing it matches the current dimms) and not have to pay more per month, making it cheaper. Also, the server won't just be for the game's servers (The game is not even close to being done), For the time being it will be for a LAN server, one that is away from an internet connection.
  14. Cost is lower, More management options, customised hardware, Easly upgraded, Lots of reasons to host the server myself, latency can always be worked out.
