  1. it's rare to see a dead CPU from the factory but it can happen, DOA both the CPU and MB just in case, one or both might be broke, if one is working the manufacture will just send it back saying nothing is wrong with it and that will tell you that the other part is the problem if both come back without any problems from the manufacturer, then further trobbleshooting will be required
  2. thats the way i want ours to sit, but during the night i think sam moves it to her side of the bed so she can sit closer to me, it always ends up with her sleeping on me and the bear on her side, its that or the bear can move by itself and moves sam closer to me so it has enough room to plot our demise or something
  3. his name is kevin.... he protects us from the bogeyman and jack skellington from entering our bedroom while we sleep although the bear sometimes sits on sam's side of the bed and sam sleeps on me and i wake up the next morning with her on me sleeping....
  4. this movie prob doesn't even have a plot, just whatever the writers put down while they were high on weed while writing this "movie" (does it even have the right to be called a movie? prob not)
  5. i never had a teddy bear, the orphanage i lived at didn't allow them sam has one, it's in bed, just sitting there...... staring at us...... planning our demise.....
  6. the water block is a 1080 design, i think the PCB layout on the cards is the same although i may be wrong
  7. yep, thats proprietary alright.... does the cable have any extra marking on it, written on the plastic or embedded into it? that will help us identify it...
  8. yea that will work, although don't use teamviewer as it allows remote access and can be hacked, use Remote Desktop connection for local only, to access the system via RDC turn it on in your system info and make the system visible on the network, then to connect up to it, locate the system via it's name in network, right click it and select "Connect Via Remote Desktop", make sure the system has a password to prevent unwanted people accessing the system and screwing around with settings and stuff, when presented to provide a logon to the system type: SYSTEMNAME\USERNAME then the password and click ok i wouldn't recommend to keep the password saved on your system for security reasons
  9. oh thats awesome! a hacker helping you out with your decryption problems...
  10. ubuntu server is an option, i don't use it but i think it has a GUI for most of it's server tools
  11. what about australia? we may not have access to guns but we allow our women to have abortions. at this point you are prob saying, You can't talk about that! yes i can, i'm a girl, i have full right to talk about it!
  12. beautiful! although there is only one RGB fan that i can see, not enough RGB, needs more.... yes, you did a very popular...
  13. from what i remember the LGA771 CPU line up wasn't very power efficient and for a dual core system, it's not that great..... probably not worth using
  14. to do:

setup onedrive between work desktop, laptop, and personal computer to transfer memes and photos that i have downloaded online to my main system to upload to my server

  15. you are on the LGBT forum, rainbow it the world's best color according to us! and thats why we have builds that look like this:
  16. yea this will become annoying, it's a good idea to keep the disk that comes with the drivers because if something like this happens, you have to have a local copy sericery, i keep so many drivers for hardware (some that i don't own anymore) that it takes up about 500GB on my server, i checked my server's LSI folder for your device, i didn't find your firmware and drivers sorry, check on places like the wayBack Machine, they have a application section for programs, drivers and firmware for older hardware that's organization has gone out of business, i got my windows 98 sound card driver from there! very handy!
  17. sometimes it's the OS to blame, server OS's work with large or many network requests very well, while consumer ones (windows) doesn't handle it well. try using the server version for the drivers, i have heard rumors that some perform better than the consumer versions but first check your network settings and see if your OS (or drivers) has limited the speed (some drivers do that to ensure that they work correctly with the OS), also if the card has a configuration utility, download that and look at how it's configured via its proprietary settings and report back, see if we can change them to get a faster connection
  18. i remember a video talking about how open and closed source works on a legal scale, i don't remember what it was called but it had a cat with sausages around it's neck as the example
  19. there will be a point when they will learn how to think for themselfs once that happens, we are f**ked, the only way to survive is to follow out new robot overlords hail skynet!
  20. 10 unless you have a death wish and really want people spying on you, if yes goto 20 no goto 40 20 goto 30 30 go for it 40 if not don't use them ahh basic, still my fav programing language! it's older than me but i love it if there is errors in the code, i don't care, it's a joke, it can be considered an unofficial easter egg
  21. 2012R2 is very stable, we have a system that had it preloaded when it was first released, it still works to this day (why wouldn't it?), the hardware might be f**ked, MemTestX86 it, it's probably RAM, anyways, it's annoying to figure out what OS you are going to use as a NAS OS i usually weigh it with these criteria: 1. what OS's is most dominate on the network? 2. what OS has the features you need? and how well do they work with your current setup? 3. how easy are they to manage, is their interface simple or advanced? (GUI or command line (cmd or terminal)) 4. how much can you automate the server, are these tools built into the system, third party downloads or custom (if you know some command line commands) 5. how well does it preform with the tasks you intend to do? this is some of them i have at least 2-300 criteria i go with and if all of the boxes are ticked, it's the choice for you! sorry if this is too much for you to do, i don't use this list often and only use it when deciding a new OS for a new or existing server...
