  1. Yes, you will require an 8th gen motherboard(Z370). This is Intel we are talking about!
  2. It is not a good sign when you see dried fluid under a capacitor.
  3. I would wait until the next generation before upgrading. Let AMD come out with the Zen+ (2nd qtr) and wait for Intel to react. You would be wasting money right now imo.
  4. If you buy the i5, there will always be the option to go even faster. I would go with the i7.
  5. Try turning on after each of the following steps 1. Reseat Memory and Video Card 2. Clear CMOS If that doesn't work then, 3. Try it with integrated graphics 4. Use only 1 stick of memory in 1 slot (Alternate slots)
  6. MLC - Multi Level Cell - Good TLC - Triple Level Cell - Bad
  7. The bigger item to consider is to choose MLC or TLC. I have owned both a Samsung 850evo plus a few Crucial MLC(M550 & M600) drives. Can't tell a difference.
  8. Was the dell motherboard a custom board? Did the motherboard standoffs in the new case line up with the holes in the motherboard?
  9. do you have an open port to the web configured on your router?
  10. The 760G Chipset is pretty old. I would go with the cheapest one.
  11. I would take your setup back down to the bare minimum. MB, CPU and 1 stick of memory. Try booting with that. Do you know for a fact that the CPU is working?
