PCIsMasterRace got a reaction from DisguisedDemise in Intel undermines AMD's new EPYC Server Lineup performance in its Official Xeon SP Slide Deck
Its interesting to think that Intel's enthusiast chips are basically "cut-apart" Xeon's.
I can smell Intel's fear over the internet.

i assume the charger cable wasn't long enough so she used an extension cord bringing dangerous AC voltage right into the shower cabin

PCIsMasterRace got a reaction from Walt in new build
At the moment it is next to impossible to buy midrange graphics cards at reasonable prices thanks to cryptocurrency mining. If I were you, I would have your friend wait another month before buying parts (I personally think that the cryptocurrency market is on its way down for a while). Furthermore, unless your friend is doing tasks other than gaming which require more than 4 cores, I would wait before upgrading your cpu, as the 3470 is still a very capable cpu.

PCIsMasterRace got a reaction from Loserinacup in Does this look like a good 600 budget gaming pc?
It looks good except that I would get the EVGA 1050 as it performs better than the Rx 560 and consumes less power.
Edit: Plus me and my friends have had better experiences with EVGA than with Gigabyte

I would recommend upgrading your monitor. If you don't have the budget right now, either wait or get a cheaper gpu.

PCIsMasterRace reacted to Teddy07 in Calculus as a name?
I don't get why people pick a fancy name for their child. The child will be fucked for life with a stupid name.
Why don't you pick a regular name? Many pick a fancy name so a regular name is way better now.

PCIsMasterRace reacted to Zzyzx in More cores vs higher clock?
You'll probably find better performance on your i5. Especially since X5355s is basically 5 generations older. The interlink between two processors also causes some slowdowns.
I'd just get back up to 8GB of RAM minimum in your i5 machine. That's pretty much the baseline you're going to want for gaming + streaming/recording.
