  1. Hey everyone! I'm having a weird issue with my 6800 XT where it's just not detected at all. Device Manager doesn't even have a tab for display adapters despite getting a video signal from the GPU, and GPU-Z was completely blank when I checked. To make it weirder, when I went to try installing both an older driver and the latest ones I get error 182; from what I understand, this insunuates that the installer knows I'm using AMD graphics but it's not recognizing the exact model. Has anyone run into this before? The closest problem I could find was people who at least had the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter visible in device manager, but even that's missing for me. For more context this happened after using DDU in safe mode, as I was experiencing driver timeouts and BSODs after downgrading from the latest driver. Running on the latest BIOS (updated after the issue occured, didn't fix), and specs are on my profile. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer their help!
  2. I think it wasn't visible in the BIOS either when it disappears, the same thing happened on two PCs now. I highly doubt it's anything to do with Windows, but I'll do some more experimenting on the BIOS side of things in that case
  3. Unfortunately this happened on both my old PC and my new PC, so no luck there. Speeds are around as advertised though and where any modern SATA SSD should be. I'd rather avoid this route for obvious reasons, but is it something I should I should RMA while I still can?
  4. Hey all! So I have an ADATA SU800 2TB which I bought a few months ago, and it's been great other than the aforementioned issue which I cannot figure out for the life of me. Restarting the PC does not replicate the issue; it's only when the PC is left in any state other than awake (sleep, hibernate, shutdown, etc.) for an extended period of time that it seems to disappear. What I mean by disappear is that it outright is gone from Windows after booting from shutdown, or it turns into a ghost drive where none of the directories are accessible on the drive until I replug it if it was woken from sleep. This has been a problem on both my Z97-A/USB 3.1 as well as my X570 TUF Pro, so I think it's something to do with the drive itself rather than any potential conflicts with the platform. I'm not sure if this helps point to anything, but when I used RAID on my old system and I needed to replug the drive it would takes ages to get past the stage where it scans the connected drives. I suspect it might've been because it was seeing the SU800 but not able to identify it if that makes sense, I dunno. I haven't really been able to try any fixes other than the replugging thing and just leaving my PC on 24/7 since it seems like an extremely rare issue, though I have tried typical fixes like switching SATA cables to no avail. I'd really appreciate any insight as this has been a nuisance for quite some time now. Thanks in advance!
  5. Bit of an odd issue here, for some reason my laptop's WiFi speeds are absolutely horrendous when plugged in. On battery the speeds are as expected. Speed tests appear to be normal regardless of being on battery or plugged in, but the effect is noticeable when loading webpages/downloading files/playing games/etc. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, power management settings, differences between 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, nothing helps. Would appreciate help on this matter, thanks in advance. Laptop model is Aero 15X v8, the network adapter in question is the Intel AC 8265.
  6. @Himommies Just one quick question, is it true that Bluetooth decreases audio quality or is it just another rumor?
  7. The Sony MDR 1000X looks promising, thanks! Probably gonna go with these unless there's a better suggestion.
  8. Eh, I'm looking for headphones that are more professional/enthusiast. Thanks though!
  9. Bluetooth would be nice. Doesn't have to be on there though.
  10. Title, my PC is in a home theatre if that helps. HQ audio and a high-frequency range goes unspoken I presume haha. Would prefer to have surround 7.1 I'm aware there's a fond dislike for surround sound imitation in headphones, don't really care tbh and ''immersive' sound. I have no budget, just don't put anything ridiculous like 10 grand. There doesn't have to be a mic included with the headphones, I'm buying an Antlion ModMic or similar product. If it happens to have one, good. Please try not to suggest gaming-branded headsets unless you're confident that they're good (already saw the SteelSeries Siberia 800/840). I've looked at those before and know there's better quality headphones. Thanks for the suggestions
  11. Already tried it on the other HDMI port that was plugged into the A/V receiver for sound, I have color on there with both cables on the working port. My X1 also has color going directly to the TV and through the A/V. I don't have any DP monitors so I can't test those ports.
  12. Title, was in-game when the display refreshed itself and everything went grayscale, further info will be provided if asked for. Thanks for the help.
  13. Is it Dual Link or Single Link DVI?
  14. I THOUGHT about Vega for a while, but that measly +10% increase over the 1080 still bugs me considering that's the top of the line card.
