  1. Ok I think I'll go with the 8700. But I also thought that if I downgraded my RAM to 2400 Mhz to get an i7-8700K, would it really impact any of the tasks that I want to do?
  2. Even i think that 8700 would be better but I am confused about three things : 1.Does compiling code benefit from more cores or more clock speed? 2.Is the Hyper T2 good enough for keeping the 8700 from throttling? 3.Wouldn't the extra cores of the 1700 help in compiling workloads, specially if I overclock it in the future?
  3. Here's the situation, I am planning to upgrade my current System which has an i3-4130 and a gtx 1050 ti. Can't upgrade my GPU now since prices are crazy but if given a decent price, would buy a 1060. My Main use cases for the Machine are these, sorted according to priority: 1.Developing ->Android Studio ->Eclipse (compiling many projects) ->Using VM's 2.Gaming -> Mainly Multiplayer eg. R6 Siege, pubg etc -> Aim is stable 60fps 1080p mid-high settings 3.Adobe Suite ->Specifically lightroom and also some Premiere My Dilemma : The price diff. in the motherboard+CPU combo (in my country) is $70-80. AMD-> mobo: ASUS Strix B350-F Intel ->mobo: MSI Z370 PC Pro RAM(for both) -> Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 - 3000 MHz (the speed is verified in the QVL of both mobos) I do not plan to upgrade within 3-4 years and I want the least amount of hassle along with better perf. for the applications that I mentioned above. Which one should I choose? SIDE NOTE *Overclocking to the MAX(eg: 4.0 ghz on 1700) is NOT a priority, as of now. Aiming for 3.7ghz on stock cooler. *Choosing the 8700k+decent cooler(+$100) is past my budget

The one thing that sets it apart is the build quality and the design that I have not seen in any freakin phone for soo many years and with the boom sound speakers and blink feed...It's JUST BEYOND AWESOME!!! I'd like to say one more thing though... ROSES ARE RED, VIOLETS ARE BLUE, HTC M8, I LOVE YOU!
  11. Are you sure that the MSI mobo will last me at least 3 years without any issues?
  12. Hey I'm building a new PC but I'm confused between these two motherboards... Asus z87-A pros- 5k rated caps, More USB 3.0 ports, more power phases i guess(plz correct me if I'm wrong),AI suite 3. Cons-much costlier-does not allow me to fit other stuff in my build MSI Z87 G43 pros-Much cheaper-allows me to add more stuff in my build Cons-don't know about the caps rating..., lesser USB 3.0, lesser power phases, I don't have anything against the MSI software, just that I find asus's better. What I want with a mobo:- 1.good stability and reliability. 2.can Overclock a decent i5 4670k to 4.2ghz easily with a hyper 212 evo cooler. 3.would last me at least 3 years without any issues. NOTE:I am NOT planning on SLI or Crossfire and If I take the MSI on I CAN GET A GTX 760. If I take the asus one-I'll have to take the corsair gs 600 which is 80 plus BRONZE If I take the MSI one-I can easily take the Seasonic G550 which is a 80 plus GOLD PSU+some extra led Fans for lighting the cabinet Planned build-i5 4670k+hyper 212 evo, 8gb ram, 1 Tb HDD, PSU will change with the mobo I take, XFX HD 7870, planning on 70% gaming and 30% rendering videos and specially converting them. Thanks in advance
  13. So are you sure I should go Haswell with the hyper 212 evo? And can most 'Average' Haswell CPUs oc to 4.2 ghz on the hyper 212 or do I need something beefier?
  14. I'm finalising my build but I wanted to get some answers before making the final decision on going ivy or Haswell. Q1. Am I going to get more oc capibilities on the ivy than Haswell ? Q2. Is Haswell 4.2ghz equall to ivy 4.6ghz? Q3. Is the performance bump that big to get noticed when rendering and converting videos or playing games?(oc vs oc) Q4. Which product is more 'Bang For The Buck' ivy or Haswell with the CPU coolers mentioned above ?(don't include the mobo as z77 has enough Sata 6G and usb 3.0 for my needs, also I will not be upgrading my CPU after 2-3 yrs) Planned rig: asrock z77 extreme 4 or asus z87 gryphon, 8 gb ram, 1tb HDD, HD 7870, Corsair CX 600 PSU. Thanks in advance
