My P8P67 EVO motherboard makes a high pitched noise whenever I plug something into the 3.5mm jack (through whatever I plug it into of course) Why is this?

Motherboard randomly not turning on?
Mr. Darkwraith posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I bought a Z77 motherboard from a user on reddit.com/r/hardwareswap (great subreddit) and I installed it in the NZXT S340 case. Problem is it didn't have an I/O plate. Or so I thought. I found it in one of the bags the user shipped it with 5 minutes after I finished building it. So I installed the I/O plate and turned the computer on to make sure everything worked, and it did! After that I went somewhere else for a few minutes and when I came back to the computer it wouldn't turn on no matter what I did. What happened, and what are some possible solutions.-

I guess. My actual price limit is 150 but I set 130 so I'd have money left over for the PCI(e) to SATA connector. Would an X58 workstation (e.g. Lelnovo S20 or GaycHP Z400)
-
Unfortunately I need at least 8GB of RAM. A lot of the games I have (A Hat in Time, Dark Souls 3) use over 4GB of RAM. See if you could find one with a smaller (or no) hard drive with 8GB of RAM
-
I guess that'll work. All my drives are SATA2 anyway. But there aren't any M81s under 150 on ebay and I already have a large percent of the components (HDD, GPU, PSU)

FUCK.

lol i have 5 hard drives i'm gonna need that.

Couldn't I get a PCIe x1 SATA card?
-
Alright then. If the Optiplexi won't fit the card, what are some prebuilts that will, AND have an upgradeable PSU?
-
And I'm going to 1156 or 1155 cause it's cheap.

In my previous post I mentioned I planned to upgrade from an old dell workstation. I planned on getting a Dell Optiplex (either 3/7/990 or 30/70/9010) but before I bought it I wanted to know if my Graphics Card would fit. It's a GTX 670 DirectCU II with a length of 10.7 inches.
