  1. I really do believe that our country has a lot of problems, but I wish I could think of something good about it that every other developed nation hasn't already accomplished. At least we are first-world. I guess Internet is cheaper here than in Canada. And I really don't envy the ISIS problem that seems to be worse over there in Europe. Also, even if it is very poorly distributed, we have a lot of wealth in this country. There is a lot of business opportunity here. We are more of a tossed salad than a melting pot, so you are likely to be able to find a community you can identify with in America.
  2. I agree with you here. I thought about commenting on that little piece but decided it was a vain effort. Funny it is to watch misinformed people behave arrogantly on an Internet forum. If people can work before the age of majority, it should be fairly simple to understand that minors have property rights and autonomy in other respects.
  3. Quality audio is really as supplemental as higher resolutions and refresh rates. It's just not something that's going to appeal to your average consumer. It's costly, complicated, and not easily recognized by the untrained ear. I bought a pair of HD 598s a couple months back and have been really enjoying them, but I wouldn't have missed the better quality before I experienced it.
  4. My parents were frustrated with the amount of time I spent with my PC for a long time after I first built one. My situation was a little different because my grades were still pretty good. I won't deny that having a gaming PC in your bedroom is a major distraction - that's because your room functions as a haven for leisure as well as an office, and getting work done in such a comfortable environment can be difficult. You could try compromising with your parents by doing your homework and studying in a boring place without distractions, like at the kitchen table. This should help you stay focused long enough to get your work done and improve your grades. Your parents will probably be willing to return your PC to you if you demonstrate that you can practice good study habits.
  5. What we're trying to say is that you could very easily work at least one Fury X into your build now with the budget you have. See Maybach123's build guide above.
  6. Well, if you're wanting the best performance on a budget build, AMD is the way to go. I'd say when you get into the $1,500+ range it doesn't really make much sense to opt for an AMD chipset. And really, if you are going with an Nvidia GPU at your $3,000 price point, you could at least have one 980 Ti if not go for SLI or a Titan X.
  7. Whale, I finally joined after ghosting 5ever.
