  1. Oh gosh well that ain't too good. Step 1 is to run some GPU tests with the respective data graphs up. See if you can find anything unusual in the way the graphs look. On a side note, are you running windows 11? If so, there is a possibility that the drivers for your GPU are not updated / working with your version of windows 11. Or it is having some trouble with other windows software. If you're running windows 11, and the GPU worked just fine on your previous system I would go back to windows 10 and see if the problems go away. Best of luck and keep us updated!
  2. IMO, I think you should bump up that power supply to at least 650 watts. You can never have too much power, but you can for sure have too little and run into problems down the line. Better safe than sorry
  3. Looks good to me. Really, any system with an SSD is "fast" for parents because they don't know the underlying parts of a PC. Just make sure you install an Adblocker like uBlock to keep him from downloading sketch software so it doesn't slow the system down and he should be good to go!
  4. The part where you said there was an audible noise that did not sound healthy is certainly not good. Sounds like it's your power supply. The 2600 uses only 65 watts of power whereas the 5900x uses significantly more at 142 watts. My theory is that your PSU is bad and can't steady supply power to your 5900x. Wait for the new PSU to come and let us know!
  5. Been quite a while since I posted on here, but I got an odd problem I need some help figuring out. Just recently, specific keys have been showing up as different colors with red in general not working at all in some cases. Other keys have also been showing as dimmed and flickering. When I go into iCUE to try and test things, I find that when I change colors, sometimes the keys work perfectly fine again (green for example). The colors look as if they are dead, but then all of a sudden the whole keyboard goes back to normal with the colors I thought were broken back to life - such as red completely working on the whole keyboard again. You guys think this is a software / firmware bug or is my poor k70 on its death bed?
  6. Just make sure that that monitor supports HDMI 1.3, because you can't do 144hz on HDMI 1.2
  7. Every CPU is different when it comes to overclocking, so there really isn't a standard of how far you can overclock or how much you can overclock your CPU. You can probably still get a nice overclock either way though.
  8. does your pc just shut off or do you get the windows restarting screen/animation?
  9. No, your motherboard only matters when you are changing out the RAM or the CPU. The memory that is on your graphics card doesn't have anything to do with what motherboard you buy. On a side note, are you buying that 750 new? Or used?
  10. Yes that is normal. I had the RM750 for 2 years before I got a 750P2, and it had the same coil whine. You shouldn't have any issues aside from said above, it being annoying.
  11. Same thing happened to me lol. Worst part is, I was playing PUBG in the top 10 when windows decided it was a good time to restart.
  12. I would highly consider getting a 144hz monitor then. I mainly play FPS games and 144hz is a huge boost for improving.
