  1. Ya I came from a 17" and the 23" was just too huge and I couldn't see myself paying $30 more for 1 1/2 in lol.
  2. You're gonna get the 23" or 21.5"? 21.5" is like $20-$30 cheaper and it's only 1 1/2 in lol. Another good thing is the 21.5 doesn't have PWM which is supposed to be better for you eyes. I'm sure the 23" does too but I'm not sure,
  3. I got the 21.5" version of the Acer H236HL. It's beautiful and has absolutely no ghosting issues if you plan on gaming! I really recommend getting it. The only bad thing is mine has a little gray spot on it which I think is dust on the inside of the monitor. Amazon is going to send me a replacement in 3-5 weeks when they get some in. Definitely buy this monitor dude!
  4. http://www.extrahardware.com/acer-h226hql-faithful-colors-inexpensive-and-glossy-ips-without-pwm That's some very technical info on the Acer, it might convince you to join me! Sorry about the double post!
  5. The smaller versions are IPS though ;) I flip flop too much! I'm gonna buy the Acer tomorrow but I kinda want the Dell lol.
  6. http://www.extrahardware.com/acer-h226hql-faithful-colors-inexpensive-and-glossy-ips-without-pwm That's an in depth review for the 21.5 in version for the Acer H236HL. I'm gonna buy it instead of the 23" version. 23 in is to much higher and too big when my eyes are 3 ft away from the screen! It
  7. Thanks for the recommendation! I'm thinking about going with a Dell S2240L, they're only $120!
  8. Ya I turned down the brightness and messed with some settings and it looks ok but still grainy. I like the colors and everything when playing games but websites look weird. I also sit 3-4 feet away from my monitor. 24" is a lot to take in from that close and the graininess is quite evident. I'd like to find an awesome, say, 20-22 in to use. If not though, 23 or 24 in will suffice! Glossy monitors look way better. I'm gonna try to get an IPS panel, that Acer is said to have great colors and it's an IPS. I heard it has some horrible input lag, supposedly 16ms but other people say it's fine. So it's hard to go by, I know every review said this ASUS VN247H-P was good or people said they had dead pixels, which I have. So I guess I've got to do trial and error. I just wish I lived where a lot of good monitors were in stock. It's 45 mins to the nearest Best Buy :(
  9. It makes the monitors blurry and grainy. I bought an ASUS Vn247H-P, which had a matte finish, and it has horrible picture quality, not to mention after 4 hours it got a dead pixel.
  10. I need a console gaming monitor. I prefer it to be an IPS and have glossy finish. I hate the matte finish! So which monitor, below $200 should I get?
  11. I'll never buy an ASUS product again. I've already got to return mine after 4 hours!
