    Yeah it's safer to use something supported, tbh ddr4 is just a safer and better bet now anyway, there's been no problems really and it's faster and runs at lower voltage, so I see no reason as to not. 
    Unsure on mobo, but I assume a mid range Asus h170 will do

    don't get ddr3 for your skylake cpu, it will damage it in the long run because ddr3 runs at 1.5V and skylake only officially supports up to 1.35V ram

    Just go with DDR4 RAM. Costs about the same and you're better off having it with Skylake. DDR4 is perfectly safe to use, there's really no reason to wait for it to be 'developed more'.
     
    Trash SSD, bait and switch product. Adata SP550 or the Sandisk SSD Plus gets my vote.
     
    For gaming, I'd go for a 7200RPM WD Caviar Blue over the WD Green.
     
    And finally, R9 380 > GTX 960.
