No. You're just uninformed, and that's OK.

Look at how similar the framerates on 6600k vs 6700k are.

@nerdslayer1 Please stop with that. There is no reason this build needs an i7.

@Thecoslime Here is a more balanced build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hwvzHN. Includes more storage, a monitor, quality PSU, good motherboard, and a 1070 will continue to push games very well at 1080p for a few years at least.

@zMeul The success of a game depends on more than just the initial volume of sales at launch. It has to impress that group of users in order to get good word of mouth popularity and be well reviewed. Think No Man's Sky. Just because a game sells a bunch a copies at launch doesn't mean that the people responsible for it get away with all that money. Some of it may be refunded and if the game is bad enough or enough of a deception *achoo* *no man's sky* *achoo* game sales can crash to a halt. With mafia 3 it looks like those game sales will never start.

Honestly though. This is such a joke that I can't even get mad at 2k ( I think that's the company that made the game). This game is such an obvious shit storm that there's not going to be a lot of damage like there was with NMS. People are already aware of how bad this game is. The community is already working on tearing the developers a new asshole. The response to the 30fps cap was strong but now that people know the real reason for that cap, the devs inability to imagine a number past 30, the response is going to be unilaterally devastating. This game has graphics from 2010 at best. The devs clearly haven't been outside in a long time as physics are abysmal. Optimization is a joke. With a 5960x 16 GB of 2666 MHz RAM and a TITAN XP the game averages close to 80 fps at high settings. At 1080p. This is a joke and completely unacceptable. This will not stand and I am looking forward to how this plays out.

@VerticalDiscussions I don't know about the best. But they make some amazing laptops since they restrict themselves to only making what they know how to make (premium laptops) and they do it incredibly well. I bought a Razor blade 2016 edition used a few months ago and it is by far the best laptop I've ever owned. It is just an experience to use.

@samiur IMO its a good choice you made. The 1060 seems to be a hot card to shove into notebooks. Ive got a GTX 970M with 6GB of VRAM (Razer blade 2016) and it plays GTA 5 (Only intensive game ive played recently) on all the highest settings with no problem.

basically. the 970m is a great card. and you made the right decision not paying 900$ for the 1060

EDIT: I realize I need to find specific coolers for this build. However I'm tired at the moment and the only ones i could find are 50$ each.... So i gave a budget of 25$ per fan. should find something. Anyone know if any 771 compatible CPU / Heatsink will work with any CPU?

Lilithty got a reaction from rhyseyness in FBI's claim about unlockable iPhone is 'bullshit' says snowden
As pretty much everyone expected this story just keeps getting more and more interesting. I believe that the general idea of Apple (or anyone) creating a "manufacturer's backdoor" is a very heavy topic. The FBI claims (or claimed, I'm not sure if they have officially asked Apple to help with other phones as well) that this technology Would and could only be used for one phone. Well, without Apple taking massive lengths to prevent the entirety of how the backdoor worked being known by anyone (including those programming it) they would have to use massively complicated and inefficient double blind procedures as well as having the programmers work on safe machines then having the machines destroyed.

Basically: yes there is a way to make this only work for one phone. However the amount of work Apple would have to do would be ridiculous. The FBI knows this and wants them to take a shorter route and make a general backdoor to Iphones.

The FBI wants a new method to use in whatever they deem necessary. A hugely and dangerously powerful "toy" even when the past actions of similar groups of people are not considered. Look at the recent arstechnica article that made it on to the WAN show
    http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/02/nypd-used-stingrays-over-1000-times-without-warrants-since-2008/

The NYPD used a controversial method (the stingrays) WITHOUT CONSENT OR A FULL WARRANT.

The FBI wants to get access to a controversial method (the backdoor) to use. They say it will be used for good things, stopping terrorism, etc etc. I'm sure it will be used for good. But the problem is when the FBI is going to use it for something less good. Imagine the fallout if the FBI or CIA (other American intelligence agency) were discovered using that backdoor on an Iphone from a foreign dignitary.

Well that was my rant and i've basically lost my train of thought so I'm going to end it up here by saying:

The FBI is trying to get a new method of spying / information gathering
The FBI is going about this the wrong way.

If there is anything I overlooked please don't hesitate to correct me.

Basically another example of the Gov. wanting to screw the phone manufacturers into letting them have power over the normal people.
$2,500 per phone that isn't able to be broken into by the government?
    That's beyond insane.

That would be like the government charging a home builder 1.5 - 2 MILLION DOLLARS per house they built if they didn't hand over the keys to the government before they even started to build the house.

I'm surprised this hasn't turned into more of a flame war by now.
    *internet awards to all*
But basically IMO there are advantages and disadvantages to either side. There VERY VERY VERY VERY rarely is ever a "Best" product. Partly because "best" is so subjective.

many people claim that almost any i3 is equivalent to the 8350 for gaming. While this is likely semi accurate many people take this to mean that the i3 is better overall.
    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-intel-core-i3-6100-review

So while these benchmarks show that the i3 6100 performs better than an FX 6300. In gaming loads. They go onto talk about how it does so well for a duel core. This is because games aren't massively core dependent. Everyone knows this. Take a look at linus's video where he uses many many workloads of multiple programs on a pentium, an i3(i think), an i5, and an i7.
Without the added stress of the other programs the extra cores of the i5/i7 are not utilized which makes them appear to not have a significant advantage over the pentium.

Much of the advantage of more cores is in multi threaded workloads ( no duh). Which games are not (again no duh). Look at something like a Xeon 2699 v3. 18 slower and weaker cores that together perform astoundingly well.

Basically, for the same reasons that a pentium is a great deal for a gaming build but an i5 or i7 beats it out for workstations is that sometimes its not about speed per core. but about number of cores.

If the i3-6100 had 4x as many cores it would kick the 8350s ass in everything. But they have products like that(plus more cache). Those products are the i5s i7s and such.

So as it usually does, the answer depends on if you want to be able to game and watch high def video and skype and maybe do some video work. or just gaming. IT DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL.

Lilithty got a reaction from Technous285 in FBI's claim about unlockable iPhone is 'bullshit' says snowden
A logical argument that really isn't Wrong per-se. And yes, if the FBI just wanted Apple to unlock this one phone. And that was it. Then it wouldnt be a huge deal.

But because of how governmental entities tend to work (read always)
the FBI wants apple to build a way to de-crypt any Iphone. If apple does this the FBI will have them unlock any phone they can. Let's say apple unlocks them. Then the FBI will want control of the process to unlock the Iphones. It wont stop.

So basically, if the argument was over whether or not Apple should unlock the phone, and that was it. No outside context, then the answer would be yes.
    BUT:
Because the method to do this would be able to be used on any phone this method would be extremely dangerous.
Also the FBI doesn't want the phone unlocked. They want the backdoor implemented.

Your argument about defending the murderer is not applicable in this case. See above ^ the problem isn't the one phone. the problem is the precedent it sets. Also apple has no legal obligation to unlock the phone (sortof) but thats an argument for another day.

I have not been paying much attention to Snowden recently. I would agree that he is at least a strong willed moral person or a patriot depending on how you define patriot of course. But doesn't really matter about the words. Yes he is brave (beyond) and I for sure couldn't imagine myself in that situation.

BTW just came up with the only reality TV show I would ever watch,
    "Keeping up With the Snowden"
it's just footage from a blacked out camera that he carries around. No actual footage. Just black tape. Also any voices heard have a cheesy anonymous filter applied to them.
