  1. i'll be starting on engineering university, and i'll still consume media with it and play games
  2. there are 1080p models with 97Whr and 4k models with 97 Whr, but 4k screens consume more energy, is it really noticeable in battery life against its similar 1080p counterpart?
  3. but is it worth it though? if they were the same price, would the battery life change too much depending on screen selection?
  4. Hey, I'm buying a laptop in the UK area, and i have a few options that I am considering, but I need some help deciding. My budget is around 1700€, a bit more, a bit less, and this is what i am searching for: 6/7th gen intel processor, i5 or i7 (preferred 7th gen i7) nvidea gpu SSD only (256 or 512) - 256 is preferred since i dont need too much portable storage and it will make it cheaper 13.5 to 15.6 inch 1080p screen (4k or QHD screens use too much battery, don't they?) An incredible battery life Good build quality - THIN AND LIGHT PLEASE 8-16 GB RAM I was considering these options: Dell XPS 15 with 1080p screen and 97 Whr battery - i was going to buy this one, but today i found the 2 following ones and i'm not sure now: Microsoft surface book ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW-US71 - this one seems to be a fucking beast, but can you name a better pc? Thanks in advance, any new laptop options will be considered, leave your opinions please!
  5. now i can't find anywhere to buy the Smartkase, even on the kickstarter page, its not available
  6. Hey currently i'm looking for the thinnest case for my iphone 7, that adds a battery and adds the sd card functionality, while remaining the thinnest possible and without adding much bulk to the bottom part (speaker part) of the phone. The "SmartKase" looks good and even adds a SIM Card option, but are there any thinner or better options? Thanks!!
  7. but if i buy directly from dell it will come from the USA or whatever and get stuck in customs (?) and i'll have to pay tax which will be around 400 €
  8. 256gb ssd is fine, and as soon as it doesn't fuck up the warranty i will gladly upgrade to 16 or 32 gb, i have here a 15.6 screen removed from an old laptop, and since it almost has no bezels the laptop is basically the size of the screen. i'm really liking this laptop, the only problem (which is not a problem at all) is: it is not for sale in portugal, yet. it will be in a few weeks, so, once it is up, i'll get it ! thanks guys
  9. Hey i am posting here because i need help finding a laptop to buy. I was considering to buy the new macbook pro with the GPU, but i dont like the ports thing, so, i'd rather buy a good windows laptop that would last me for a long time. I am looking for the perfect ultrabook with: really good battery life; nvidea or amd gpu, 6/7th gen intel i5/i7 processor, 16+gb ram, not bigger than 15 inch (i don't want a 15.6 inch laptop!), and SSD only (no HDD). I won't buy it today, so if you guys know about any upcoming laptops in the future months you can post about it too thanks in advance! PS: 2500 usd max budget (if there's one for 1000 better!)
  10. Hey, I have a 3 yr old Samsung 840 SSD 250GB that looks exactly like this: And in want to connect it externally to the new 2016 macbook pro, that has this usb C thunderbolt ports. What adapter should I use? thanks!!
  11. Hey, as the title says i need a new battery because my battery is starting to die... what is the best repair kit with battery that i can buy shipping to Europe? (I only want to buy from Europe, to avoid waiting months and high shipping costs) Thanks for any help!!
  12. Yes, i know, i know, you all love PCs, and I do too, owning a few of them myself where I play and do tons of stuff. But, apart from that, I will be needing to buy a macbook Pro for other and complete different purposes. I won't need it now, and I certainly won't be buying it now. l need to get it a long time from now, which will probably be in 2017's Summer (August/September) I order to do that, it's common sense to be prepared of upcoming models in the next months, so that I dont get it in September and a more recent version is being released a few months after. So, at what time of the year is the newest version of this line of macbooks released? thanks guys!
