  1. @johnukguy yeah I've done both of those, also I can't run a memory test as I haven't got a second DDR4 system to test it in and my system won't post.
  2. Hi all, I've been using my Z170 Asus pro mobo and Corsair 16gb DDR4 RAM since 2016 and it's been working flawlessly, I'm currently running a kabylake i5-7600k and GTX 1080ti FTW3 however a couple of days ago I couldn't get the system to post and the DRAM led lit up, now I've tried the MEMOK button but all it does is reboot the system, flashes slowly and slowly speeds up before going back to a solid colour, now I know that the MEMOK function restores the bios and I had to use a bios update for my CPU to be compatible being a different generation to what is supported with my current mobo, now has the MEMOK function taken me back to the original default bios and I need a skylake CPU to post or is it something else?? Getting worried now as I've tried everything with the RAM.
  3. Hey there, so I do a lot of three dimensional design work and rendering using vray, I'm looking to build a cheap server/computer to handle the rending process, any help is appreciated. Thank you ?
  4. I can get a gtx 770 for £100, it's not the best but it can easily be upgraded in the future
  5. Hey there, I'm looking to build a budget gaming/ workstation build on the Z170 platform. I have a 750w PSU from a old build, a cpu cooler (212 evo) and a HDD, so what I need is a motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM and a SSD for a boot drive and to accommodate a small amount of programs all for under £500. Ollie
  6. I am a student and a 3D graphic designer, I never really have enough to spend on anything decent for my computer therefore i am rocking a 5 year old dell RT7D50. This makes my life a living hell, with a new keyboard i would be able to increase my work flow meaning that i would have more time to work on my college assignments and still have enough time to do the bits that I love like graphic design and three dimension modelling/rendering and having a keyboard with a n-key rollover would also make my work as accurate as it can possibly be as having the wrong key inputted makes animating a pain when the wrong macro is being selected by mistake. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
  7. Perfect! cant beleve that i missed this, thank you
  8. I have been looking at this, i didnt want to go 2011 but i might have too
  9. Well i need to find one under £100, low i know but i still need a motherboard as well and if it is a LGA2011 socket then they dont come cheap
  10. I am currently building my rendering rig but im stuggling to fine a hex or octa core xeon for a resanble price, i know that most systems dont need the extra cores but the rending software that i use is mainly cpu based instead of gpu based (3D Rendering not video rendering) Help please Ollie
