  1. No pro intellimouse? It's a bargain and comfy and.
  2. I really doubt they are as good as the Sony's as they are really freaking amazing, and cost the same.
  3. can it open a 50MB excel workbook, and a 10GB access database? also can it work with DaCS and patentsafe? or am i stuck with having to access those through citrix.
  4. kinda about time for his channel to go, as sure he had a niche back in the day mixing technology videos with metal, but after the abusive rants a few years ago, and not really considering that his actions against the viewers would have consequences, i just stopped watching, and it's the same with tom logan, berates the viewers, doesn't really show any consideration towards the viewers, when they literally pay the bills and enable you to get press samples, and have really stale productions, like it's been said with linus, at least he's changed to keep with the times, and has enough foresight to try and see what is coming, and collab with other creators to spice things up a little.
  5. time for AMD to step up, and offer discounts for complete AMD systems, intel's market share will take a ginormous hit.
  6. i honestly couldn't care less what patreons fees are, as i just want to support the creators, and i already get stung with VAT every month, so if anything if they could make it so i didn't have to pay tax that'd be grand.
  7. pretty much every vauxhall/opel, the shitboxes, are just kludged together, crap engines, poor gearboxes, chintzy plastics, and driven by people who have no regard for anyone and people who've barely passed their drivers test as well as pretty much anything with a fart can.
  8. it's not like sites like cam4 haven't been around for years which easily allows people to do this without violating a ToS or risk displaying your self to kids.
  9. neat, ideally i would have lead with WiC as that game is way better than any AC game, also thanks for the heads up.
  10. dude this has been posted several times in the past week and a half, at least check the 2nd page before posting a topic.
  11. wrap it in electrical tape, or some closed cell foam.
  12. with linus's moaning about laptops, business laptops come with LTE modems, with proper mini-SIM slots, and most LTE modem cards have GPS on board, although most people just tether their phone.
  13. you know you can charge while doing the checks, and truckers are supposed to take a half an hour break every few hours, and even with the 500 mile range that gives just shy of 10 hours driving time, which is a full shift. and you do a slow charge overnight with the charger providing power for the ancillaries.
  14. legit the least interesting phone all year, even less interesting than the iphone 8.
  15. you must be doing something wrong, as even cheap chinese cables can last a while, even look at making your own cables, or getting a bluetooth one if it's the jack and Y-piece breaking.
  16. honestly screw all glass backed phones, one of mine cracked as it slid out of the pocket of my jeans when they were on the floor, other than for less attenuation, aluminium and fiber reinforced polymers, are the best materials for phones.
  17. cheap computers don't even have HDDs, they have shitty slow AF eMMC storage, i'd rather have a 1tb 5400 drive than eMMC.
  18. oh, wonder if that was a stipulation on intel using RTG technology on intel APUs, but still could lead to some interesting things happening.
  19. i get that, as i've used DxO in the past when i bought my last body, but photographers don't really buy on a DxO mark score, they buy on which lens system they've bought in to, but their testing procedure for DSLRs has been the same for yonks, as there'd be an almighty uproar from photographers if they did, but with phones it's just accepted, but it invalidates all previous results, and loses all credibility as a metric of performance.
  20. these DxO mark scores are becoming as useless as geekbench scores, sure at first it was a nice to see a number given to how good something is, but now it's just a pissing contest, and seeing as DxO changed their measuring procedure every device needs retesting otherwise the score doesn't matter.
  21. going in to bootloader and clear cache, it's normally recommended after major OTA updates, just to clear out the trash.
  22. burn in on plasma screens was because of the the amount of phosphor, and didn't take off because they were expensive to make, had a high rate of failure, and could only work within a specific altitude range. i had a nokia N8 with a AMOLED screen and didn't suffer any burn in, and same for my note 2 zero burn in, and they weren't babied, and other than on display models i've not seen any burn in on a samsung AMOLED screen, if anything max brightness 24/7 is going to be the issue causing the panel to rapidly degrade, and display units are a key example, as store lights are extremely bright, which would accelerate the degradation.
  23. burn in isn't much of an issue these days unless it's a display unit, or a really crap panel.
