  1. I have a 1080p laptop that I'm connecting to a 3440x1440p gsync monitor using a mini displayport to displayport cable (HDMI won't run my resolution/framerate). I have an issue where whenever my laptop wakes from sleep or from my keyboard/mouse it outputs at 1080p to my monitor and I have to open the laptop and then immediately close the screen for it to output to my monitors native resolution. Is there a setting or a way to change it so that it always outputs at the correct resolution from the start without having to open and shut the lid?
  2. Since my laptop has optimus technology I don't want to disable the igpu and lose my battery life. vsync was always off on my tests and I tried using ddu in safe mode and I am still getting the same issue after reinstalling nvidia's drivers. (Sorry for the late reply, I never got an email from this thread from the response)
  3. I have a Gigabyte Aero 15x laptop with a i7 8750H and a GTX 1070 Max Q. In game I've noticed recently my framerate drops to ~30fps after I drop the resolution to 720p. Before I was able to hit ~120+ fps at 1080p. I checked task manager and it shows near 100% utilization of the intel graphics and barely 10-20% of the 1070. I tried reinstalling the drivers (with and without ddu) and also set the graphics card in nvidia control panel to the high performance 1070 both globally and specifically for the games I play and now I'm getting ~60fps at 1080p when before I got closer to double. Resource monitors show the intel graphics still has high utilization and the nvidia gpu having ~50% utilization. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
  4. I recently bought an Asus ROG Strix 2080 graphics card to upgrade my 980ti. When I swap the cards I notice the displayports won't work on the card but the HDMI works just fine. I get a new replacement displayport cable and also RMA'd the first card and tried again with the second card and none of the displayports work. I've been using displayport with my 980ti just fine so this seemed odd. I tried using some utilities like nvflash and a gpu hotfix from nvidia's website (417.58) to see if that would fix the issue and nothing. I then used DDU to remove and then reinstall the driver and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas on a fix while I set up a replacement unit from Amazon? main parts: i7-6700 Asrock z170 oc formula 2x8gb gskill ripjaws v series 3200 ram samsung 950pro 512gb evga 850 w 80+ platinum asus rog strix 2080
