ddr4 unbuffered dimms are ddr4 unbuffered dimms. they will work regardless. unless its something special like the new DC (Double capacity) dimms by gskill, they will all work.

I too have G.Skill Ram that even had an intel sticker on its packaging but I run it just fine in my AMD R9 3900x system.

300 usd isn't much to go on, and the games you want to play are a bit heavy on the CPU side. I'd say change your CPU and GPU. This will work on your current board:
PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (14nm) 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor $119.98 @ Amazon Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB SC ULTRA GAMING Video Card $179.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $299.97 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-03-06 12:20 EST-0500
I also suggest adding more RAM in the future as well. Add another 8GB stick.

Pretty good suggestion, but with that budget why not go for a GTX 1070 preferably one from Zotac?
Forgot to add: Depends on the resolution of the monitor though. If you own a 1080p 60Hz monitor then you won't get any use out of a 1070. If its 1440p or a higher refresh rate such as 144Hz then it might be a good investment to go for the next tier.

You won't need a fast gpu for editing, you mainly want cpu power.
