  1. yeah me too. But I think a fresh start for sub 300 € is a decent choice. Also the performance upgrade will be huuuge
  2. I looked for z77 and h61 boards already, but you simply can't get any new ones here. Also not really interested in used hardware because I had some wasted money before for used crap. It hurts a bit to replace my good i5 and the ddr3 ram though.
  3. Hello there, I'm planning to build/upgrade a PC for my parents. Currently they are using my old PC which died yesterday. Current build is: CPU: Intel i5-3570k CPU Cooler: Alpenföhn Matterhorn Mainboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3 RAM: 2*4 GB Kingston HyperX blu. 1600Mhz Storage: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB , 1 TB HDD (don't know which) PSU: Thermaltake Hamburg 530W Case: CoolerMaster 690 II ATX They want to use their system only for Office, Internet, Solitair and maybe light photo editing. So, after my father told me that his PC doesnt work anymore I tried a different PSU to start it, but it wouldnt start, so I suppose the mainboard died. Now I'm trying to switch out mainboard, cpu and ram for the system to run again. I know the PSU is overkill but I don't plan on buying a different since I already have this one. Can somebody recommend a new setup (probably AMD) with integrated graphics for this light use? (will be only one 22" monitor @ 1080p. Also a smaller case would be nice Location is Germany and the pricing should be max 300 € I want to keep SSD, HDD and DVD-drive in there aswell Thanks in advance
  4. Hello, I'm looking for a 120-144 hz monitor that I can use besides my laptop (mini-display-port, msi gp62 leopard pro) Buying in Germany, any recommendations? Owned a Benq xl2411z before, but the dvi-d port did fail thanks for your help
  5. does this one also fit with my psu and mainboard: https://www.alternate.de/EVGA/GeForce-GTX-960-Superclocked-Grafikkarte/html/product/1226623?campaign=AF/DeZanox/Textlinks/Alternate&zanpid=2131750259976967168
  6. yeah I got it since 2012. But still... I've been looking for this one now: http://geizhals.de/kfa-geforce-gtx-960-gamer-oc-mini-black-96nqh8dhd8z4-a1345570.html?hloc=at&hloc=de Do you know if it works with my ASrock z77-pro3 and my PSU?
  7. The capacitors wether on the mainboard or on the graphicscard are not bloated, fans are running and everything seems pretty normal
  8. Hello linustechtips forum, I've got a problem: Played cs:go yesterday then my monitor wen't all black (I still heard the teamspeak sound for ~30seconds after that), then my PC crashed and won't boot windows anymore. I tried using the problem solving method of windows 10 but it didn't work. cleaned up my SSD and freshly installed windows 7. Now when I want to install my graphicsdriver (from DVD or downloaded the newest one from the nVidia site) the PC won't restart windows after the forced restart. If I look at 'dxdiag' it only says 'standard-vga-graphicscard' with a resolution of 1280*1024. Now I have the question can I do more than that or did my graphicscard just die and I need a new one. What graphicscard would you recommend (Germany ~200€) Specifications: i5-3570k ASrock z77-pro3 nVidia gtx-570 (no fancy MSI or smth.) PS: Silverstone 500W PSU 8GB Kingston DDR-3 Samsung SSD 840 Pro WD 1000GB Harddrive English is not my main language, I'm sorry if it is not understandable.
