  1. ran out today and grabbed an alternative motherboard. Still have the same issue, any other ideas?
  2. That sounds like the most plausable theory, thanks for confirming what I thought.
  3. Hi all, A quick query, I have lost the right channel audio on my PC. I currently use a DAC with headphones running off that and thought the DAC was faulty, however when I tried a different set of headphones in the PC io, I still have the same issue. Specifically, when the PC boots, I have normal audio both through the PC io and DAC, but after 5 or so minutes, I loose the right channel from both. If I reconnect the headphones to the DAC, I get both channels for around 5 seconds, but loose the channel again. I have tried reinstalling drivers to no avail, as well as running the DAC from USB, to optical from pc but no change there, so is it more likely a hardware issue? My PC is getting on tbf, I'll list the specs below. Cheers. CPU - FX-6300 Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P GPU - R9 270X PSU - be quiet! 630W RAM - 12GB DDR3 Storage - 1x 250GB SSD (os), 1x 500GB SSD, 1x 1TB HDD
  4. Right, will check it when I next get chance, cheers. TBF, the whole pc is fairly old now anyway, am due an upgrade soon! Cheers.
  5. Right, I'm running AMD. CPU: FX-6300 Mobo: Gigabyte Ga-970a-ud3p Cheers.
  6. Sorry, been mad with work recently. Still got the issue, hard lock I assume it is? Don't get BSOD, but freezes and doesn't respond to any input (no ctrl, alt, delete). Cheers.
  7. Still froze after a couple of hours idle. Any other guesses? Cheers.
  8. Cheers, have done the above. MemTest86 passed with 0 errors. Bios is up to date, no overclocking and XMP is off. Will leave it idle overnight to see how it goes and get back to you!
  9. Hi all, I posted a couple months ago about my PC randomly freezing/crashing daily. After buying a new SSD (860 evo) and moving the OS onto it, I am still having issues. I have checked the RAM with the diagnostics tool and there are no obvious errors. The PC will crash at random times, sometimes when left idle and others when videos are playing or games etc. I really haven't a clue what to do next as I've already installed a fresh windows. Any help would be appreciated before I take it into a store for help reluctantly.
  10. What do we think about the Samsung 850 evo? I've already got the 500gb for my games library, probably worth investing in the 120GB just for OS?
  11. Right, I'll start looking at alternatives now. any suggestions? Cheers.
  12. I'm pretty sure my OS SSD is a Kingston SSD. Do you think it could be that? Never really occurred to me.
  13. Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble with my PC lately. It just seems to freeze randomly with no pattern. I have ran mem test 86 with no problem, swapped out the RAM, changed my HDD and reset my overclock and updated drivers to no avail. I really am stuck as of what to do next. The only evidence I could find was my 1TB HDD has a few errors when checked with crystal disk, but even with that removed, the issue remained. Have I missed any other troubleshooting? My specs are below. Thanks. Specs: CPU - AMD FX-6300 GPU - R9 270X Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-970a ud3p RAM - 12 GB (3x 4GB) DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Sport PSU - Be Quiet 630W Storage - 120 GB SSD (OS), 500 GB SSD (Games), 1T HDD (Misc. storage)
  14. I hope they do! The website i bought it off only shows the front so that could be the case, fingers crossed!
