    JCMSAMA reacted to SolarNova in VA 144 Hz to IPS 144 Hz worth?
    Not worth the side grade.

    An older, cheaper VA is likely to be substantially slower in pixel response compared to a newer IPS, however its still very much a side grade that isnt worth wasting the money especially if ur trying to save for a good 1440p display ($400-$800), and ur likely going to find yourself wanting to upgrade your GPU as well to better cope with it.

    Another thing u should very much take note of.
    IGNORE manufacturer specs, in regards to response time specifically. They are technically and legally 'true' but are incredibly misleading to the point of immorality.
    If you truly care enough about the quality of the monitor and getting the most for your money u should only consider Displays that have been reviewed and tested thoroughly. a few sites to check are:
    rtings.com
    tftcentral.co.uk
    pcmonitors.info

    JCMSAMA reacted to Tan3l6 in Text ghosting on new AOC CQ27G2U/BK ?
    I think it's inverse ghosting, native to most VA panels, if not all.
    I'm so used to it, that only noticed it when some large black dot was on light grey background.
    On one monitor it ocurred more when the "overdrive" in monitor menu was on strong setting. But on my current one it's always there, but only visible in certain conditions.

    @JCMSAMA

    Thats normal ghosting. (inverse ghosting is a 'lighter' trailer as opposed to a darker one)

    if the display has an overdrive setting, turn it on. otherwise u cant change the pixel response any other way.

    VA panels have the slowest pixel response times on average, especially budget displays. if ur on a tight budget stick with TN or IPS panels if u want to avoid the majority of ghosting.

    If ur interested at looking at proper reviews check out the following sites.

    And here is a link to a list of rtings reviewed monitors.
