  1. Also this may help others who find the default taskbar size bloody infuriating. https://winaero.com/how-to-change-taskbar-size-in-windows-11/
  2. Installing a Win 10 preview build RN. Then likely the 11 preview glad I have no data caps.
  3. What I can see happening is less techie people getting annoyed that their computer won't get Windows 11 while running 10 just fine, contact peeps like ourselves, who will have found Win 11 restriction bypassed .iso images in the wild and found the clean ones through testing, and pay us to come and install that for them. Ah takes me back to days of Windows XP Gold Edition etc.
  4. https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/o9oi86/its_here_1pm_est_sharp/
  5. Seems users on Reddit are downloading the preview now.
  6. Is 11 live yet for insiders? going hop into the beta ring when it drops, or would dev be more suitable?
  7. One computer I am decommissioning soon still runs Windows XP and is on the internet daily!
  8. Man do we need Anthony to explain all this @LinusTech
  9. Depends on the case I have the 510 elite (specs in my signature) and my temps are stable, to help though a bit more I've ordered one of these : https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/963806085/nzxt-h510-elite-custom-vented-front?ref=search_recently_viewed-1

    I don't know who's twisting more panties right…

The shit storm once media like GamersNexus and eventually LTT covers the issues in dedicated videos will be one of historic size.
  11. Reverse flow mode reserved for those who attempt to use the iLoo without payment.
  12. Working through peeps I am fixing computers for, most are happy to remain on Win10 when the cut off arrives, those who prefer to stay updated are very interested in Ryzen APU based systems come the time. My stress levels about 11 are dropping to suit now.
  13. I assume the first 11 builds are due next week if the various tech blogs are accurate?
  14. They want every single KB of your data on their servers, you basically have a damn screen and your OS everything is streamed to you. Ideal for some, but a bloody nightmare on the first outage, a literal eggs in one basket type scenario. Least that is how I can see it working out, and as you say Linux and OSX or even Google with ChromeOS will capitalize on it and offer a installed OS on a owned device license with owner physical storage.
  15. I am hoping they go into extreme detail explaining why, because a marketing blog post in bit sized format corporate jargon speak just wont cut it.
  16. Download Windows 10 from here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 even has a link to create a bootable USB drive. Your key should be stored in the bios.
  17. What are the odds that MS will stop supporting Win10 in 2025? Given Windows 7 extensions even a single extension of four years would buy most plenty of time to save up and move on. Remember some people really do replace computers only when broken, so dual supporting Win10 and 11 would enable security updates for older hardware until it begins to fall off the lower end of the market in usage averages.
  18. Going to join up, got a lot to say about 11 and best place is on their feedback hub.
  19. Even with a TPM module so far 11 does not force Bitlocker to be enabled does it?
  20. The moment I can enjoy all the games in my Steam library with RT etc I'm done with Windows.
  21. Given it's a free upgrade : https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/24/22546801/microsoft-windows-11-free-upgrade-details Can't see why not.
  22. Just told my GF her Skylake 6700k is not going to get updates after 2025, her response "well you can help me build a Ryzen system like yours".

    Such a damn keeper.

From what I remember I also have the same mobo but a 6700 nont K variant. I've been wanting to do a Ryzen upgrade for a while but my current hardware is just fine... guess in a few years thats actualy going to be a thing.
