  1. I have heard about this offset before, but is there no way for me to disable it? I've turned off 'Miskew' in the bios, but it's made no impact
  2. Small mistake, I am actually using the cooler you specified - I did not realize there was a naming convention difference. Hopefully that clears up some confusion.
  3. I'm using the paste provided by Noctua I have tested the big blob, the 8 dots method (outlined in noctua install guide) and the X pattern which im currently using now None of these have had any significant difference on the temps
  4. I have recently built a new system using the TR 1950X, it's running on a ASUS Prime x399-A board, with a Noctua NHU14-S in a push pull configuration. My idle temperatures are really high, ranging from 44-55c sitting on the desktop screen only. Running intel burn test, it shoots up to 80c. This is all with no overclock, running factory settings - with the automatic overclock disabled. I have verified that the fan curve is working correctly and that the cooler is properly installed. I have reseated it twice to ensure of this. Could anyone offer some advice as to what's wrong? Thanks
  5. So i passed the stress test and benchmark while never exceeding 68c. Thanks for the tool reccomendation Are those numbers safe?
  6. I intend to render 1440p video and occasional light gaming
  7. Is there a good free stress test you can reccomend? I'll try it now.
  8. Hi all, Ive built a new rig today, using a 1950X, Asus Prime X399A Motherboard and a Noctua NHU14S cooler. Ive applied the thermal paste using the method shown in Noctuas instruction - 9 small dots + 4 medium sized dots on the center. Im using two noctua 140mm fans, in a push-pull configuration. The outdoor temperature today is 23c. Right now im seeing temps between 40-50c with just the following applications open. I've never had an issue like this with previous builds. Does the cooler just need to 'settle in' or have i done something very wrong? Thanks for any help.
  9. Oh dear, looks like the 'step up' was actually a step down then! I will contact Evga europe team
  10. I have done this already, removed GeForce Experience + all related driver. Nvidia control panel still refused to let them connect.. I've also swapped the PCI slots and it didn't make a difference, Just changed my monitor order
  11. Hello all, I have tried three different SLI bridge, one from ASUS, one from EVGA and one generic brand
  12. Hi LTT Forums, I've run into an issue where im trying to SLI two cards... one is EVGA GTX 970 SSC and the other is EVGA GTX 970 SC.... Are these two models not compatible for SLI? I was given the SSC one as a replacement from RMA, and I haven't been able to SLI since... has this 'upgrade' failed me? All help would be appreciated! Pictures below.
