  1. So I just tried to see if the card will work without the 6 pin connected and all I get is a message saying please power off your pc and insert the 6 pin. All it needs is the power limit in the cards bios changing to be a bit higher and it would be fine but guess I did get scammed. I chose this one specifically because of the 6 pin power connector so i knew it would be starved of power but guess I was wrong.
  2. That is about what I thought I know this card can give more if it could just get that little bit more power it doesn't run hot (60c max) but when the fans does have to spin up even that will eat into the power limit and make it goes even slower or stutter some more. Is there anything I can do I have contacted the manufacturer and got a a stupid response of the pcie slot only being able to provide 66w and there is no way I can afford a new card like I said ive been off work sick for a couple of months. Thankyou for your help though
  3. Mine is the GDDR6 version I cant seem to find it in any database online but here is the link to the manufacturers website http://www.palit.com/palit/vgapro.php?id=3683&lang=en&pn=NE61650018G1-166F&tab=sp it says graphics card power 75w but nothing about that being the max power. I did email them and they replied with the pcie slot only provides 66w of power so the 6 pin is required to reach the 75w which I know is wrong. The 6 pin feels like a pointless addition I do know there are some 1650 that can use 90w as I have seen the bios for them on tech power up.
  4. Here are my system specs CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000mhz GPU: Palit Nvidia GTX 1650 PSU: Be Quiet System Power 9 500w Motherboard: Gigabyte ga-a320m-h (rev. 3.0) The GPU is connected with the 6 pin GPU power connector straight from the PSU no adapters or anything
  5. all the power sliders are locked down I cant change them
  6. Hi Everybody so this will be my first proper post here but I have a problem with my graphics card. I have a Nvidia GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6 version and it has a stupid problem. So I have noticed while gaming that it will constantly hit a power limit usually at around 70% usage and then the clock speed will drop and frame rate go down. I know that most 1650 cards have a 75w due to only drawing power from the pcie port but I bought this card as it has a 6 pin power connector and I have seen some 1650 use 90w during use I have seen that it will only draw power from the slot and wont draw power from the 6 pin connector and the lack of power is holding it back slightly I feel like I am loosing 20% of my performance. I have emailed the manufacturer of my card and their reply was this card needs a 6 pin power connector to be able to reach 75w as the pcie slot only provides 66w which I know is wrong and they are just not being helpful. I paid extra for this card with the extra power connector over a regular 1650 it was something like £10 more so not enough more to upgrade further so no I am stuck with a card that I am unable to use to its full potential and I cant afford a new GPU I have been off sick for the last 2 months. The exact Card I have is a Palit GTX 1650 StormX D6 When I bought it the page said the average power was 75w not the max and Palits page just says graphics card power 75w nothing about that being the max. They also do a identical OC version of my card which has the same 75w I did almost buy that one so glad I didn't as it would of been even worse. So thankyou for any help anyone can give me as I don't know what to do and I feel like I have been scammed. I have already emailed the manufacture and I cant call them as the number is in Germany and I am in the UK I cant afford a call to another country
