  1. At the end of the post I said "Other than disabling the IGPU" I know that works but that's my last resort.
  2. Sigh, I was afraid of this. Sucks. BTW, the monitor was a gift. I'd otherwise choose something better, of course.
  3. It's a desktop. I installed the drivers for my GTX 1070.
  4. The problem isn't my DGPU ports being inadequate; the problem is my display. I have the GTX 1070 and it doesn't support VGA.
  5. Well, I could but then I'd have only one monitor to use.
  6. I'm having this issue where my programs are not utilizing my DGPU. Unless I disable the IGPU in the BIOS my DGPU wont be used at all. I looked online on how to do this (I have a GTX 1070) and people have said that you need to: Go to the "NVIDIA Control Panel" Go to "Manage 3D Settings" Go to "Program Settings" tab There should be a drop down to choose my preferred graphics processor How ever I can't do step 4 as I don't have such a setting. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution? Other than disabling the IGPU.
  7. I needed to increase my fan speed so it usually stays under 80 at load. But I do need a new case. It's not an after market; the case, optical and hard drives are the things that I kept from the original computer.
  8. So the real question is: "But can it run Crysis?" and stream at the same time.
  9. Okay, so I've adjusted the build a bit. I just chose a compatible MOBO: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Lz6vf8 With this build it looks like I don't need to buy a new PSU . That brings my current cart to under $400.00 USD ($388.80, including shipping from Newegg)
  10. Also I'm not hung up on graphics so if I need to cut down to medium setting I can do that. Yeah, don't wanna wait that long LOL. How does it compare?
  11. I have no attachment to the CPU. Nearly any CPU that helps me reach my goal. And the reason I haven't looked into replacing the GPU is because the games I play right now, such as Overwatch and Street Fighter 5, haven't pushed it near 100% much.
  12. Hi. I'm planning to upgrade my computer. I'd like some feedback on my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/yccQD8 PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz 8-Core OEM/Tray Processor ($199.99 @ Newegg) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X 82.9 CFM CPU Cooler ($39.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($71.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($34.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($45.00 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI Radeon R7 370 2GB Video Card ($142.89 @ OutletPC) Case: DIYPC Zondda-B ATX Mid Tower Case ($45.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Cougar 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($47.99 @ SuperBiiz) I'd specifically like some feedback on the CPU, if nothing else: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor vs AMD FX-9590 Vishera 8-Core 4.7 GHz Socket AM3+ 220W FD9590FHHKWOF Desktop Processor - Black Edition (in the build) I also have another question: I currently have an ASRock MOBO. I've read that it's possible to switch the MOBO without needing to do a clean reinstall by uninstalling the drivers for the previous MOBO. I'm really hoping this is true because I have a dual-boot of Linux and I really don't want to go through the process of reinstalling it (I have a whole web development environment setup on it). In your experience is this possible? My main goal is to be able to play games like Evolve, Overwatch, and Street Fighter 5 at 60 FPS and stream at a decent quality (1080p, 30 FPS). P.S., I'm not buying ALL of these parts. I already have the GPU and RAM.
  13. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157571 So this means I can overclock my CPU? If yes, do you know of any guides for CPU overclocking? (never done any overclocking. in fact this is my first PC build)
