Just picked up a new headset for my PC, I'm still in work so haven't been able to try them out but the unboxing experience is pretty much the best I've seen on a headset. I also only paid €90 as gamestop had a sale on all hyperx products

New fans and rgb strips. I may have overdone the rgb parts, but pretty happy with the end result ? Oh and finally got to fit the old sentry3 fan controller that was just lying around.

A promise made 12 years ago and they haven't sued yet,  how long do we have to wait before you accept they are good on their promise?

What I asked was how a standard that carries no cost or barrier be worse?  Just because it came form MS that makes it worse?  I don't care what forum members think,  Redhat's lawyers says it's good enough and a lawyer/lecturer at Stanford Law school says its fully compatible with GPL and MS hasn't sued anyone for it (and it has been widely implemented over the last 12 years), you say open standards are never bad because they are free and anyone can use it them.  Doc is free and anyone can use it.   The Open promise is to anyone, not just specific people.

You mean how multicore processors didn't become mainstream until they became affordable? Yes i would
Only reflections are being ray traced in games at this point with the current hardware and pricing, think ahead while keeping in mind the current market share, developer compliance and public opinion from an investment point of view and the current prospect of Ray Tracing starts to look a lot like a liability.

please keep in mind this post is titled  NVidia Losses half of its value so it is understandable why ray tracing would be a recurring topic

I know the exact same feeling. I just upgrade from a very old rig myself and 1080p to 1440p. I am still impressed about how well AMD actually works in most setups I have seen here and I have used intel every since I upgraded from Athlon back in well around 2002 or something. Who knows I might be getting AMD next time, they sure are up to something these days.

I am however very happy that I got a 2080 rather than a just as expenssive in my region 1080ti, since my 2080 actually beats most non oced or factory oced 1080ti's even if my GPU is set to silent. I am content about that buy atleast.

Again you're going wabbling about some paper spec when in reality it makes almost no difference to naked eye. And again you're praising phones which are pretty much worse across the board in all other aspects of the display, on areas that does make a difference. Bring a real scenario. Unless the phone is used for VR, the ppi is absolutely fine
Your point? I find people are dumb and they overblow issues because there are some vocal people who'd love to hate Apple
Do you have any source for this? And do you know for sure the 845 doesn't do the same thing? Don't make dumb claims like this.
Lol, no you're trolling. Check out Phonebuff's speed test and if there's one thing iOS is really good at, it at memory management as most iOS apps resume from where it was paused. Definitely not the case with Android and the new pixel 3 xl has massive memory issues. Cheaper android's are not as smooth as iOS and security on iOS is way better than on Android. Those are three straight up wrong facts you just slapped here.
Again, what? You don't decide what build quality is good and bad. The iPhone Xr is built extremely well. And so are some flagship android devices.
That's a pathetic excuse. It takes resources and time to do such things and you just dissed it something companies can do if they want to. It's like saying companies can make optimized software if they pour in more resources. No shit sherlock. Difference is Apple is doing that while others don't.
See, by now you've completely lost any credibility on your claims and opinions. iPhones do objectively last a lot longer than Android and average US person holds onto their iPhones for 3 years. Better resales come because iPhones from two years ago perform as well as today's android in the performance category
Sure, please develop or download an app that makes your android phone as competitive as iPhone Xr. If you develop, I'm sure you can make tonnes of money as it would astonish the entire industry. On the more serious note, Apple NPU and ISP has alot to do with it, which you cannot substitute with pure software, especially in real time

Except the entire concept if race is a scientific catergorization of humans baded on collective traits of different groups. It's an identical methodology to classifying dog and cat breeds.

I use a similar argument to evade people calling me racist.
I point out that by using the term 'racist' they are tacitly acknowledging that there are subspecies of human, and somehow they think they are qualified to better quantify what constitutes a subspecies when science has yet to do so.
This isn't a permanent solution, but confuses them long enough for me to pick up a heavy object and use it to render them unconscious.
I find it refreshingly confusing how many third party accusations of 'racist' are retracted, after you bludgeon someone with a fire extinguisher, but, as always, YMMV...

I like how none of you people actually saw the entire video. Says alot about the coloured mind
Sure, so we trust you instead of the like around 7-10 people who all agreed that the Iphone has a better display. And the add to the fact that you do have a bias history. Sure, you're opinion is extremely valued
Not the point. Putting in a higher res display takes u more GPU power and more battery. One of the reasons iPhone Xr has a really good battery life is because of the display. I like how you carry so much importance to the fact that it is not 1080p. Either you're misinformed, or you're just trolling. And I like how you just judged a phone and called it trash because it had a 326 ppi instead of 500 ish ppi, which the difference hardly matters in real world.

Except people could tell the difference and say that the iPhone was vastly superior. It was never about ppi, it was always about the much more important metric of colour accuracy, screen legibility, etc

Preference is not "racism". Some like blondes, some like redheads, others prefer brunettes, some like freckles, some hate them, some like Coca Cola, some like pineapple on pizza and others watch cat videos at 3am. If someone isn't into black, Asian or white partners, that's not bloody racism, it's just preference. And forcing it on people for the sake of some faux diversity is the most revolting dumb BS possible.

    @Okjoek
The reason why "white genocide" is a an actual thing but no one wants to admit it because as soon as you mention it, dumb idiots will yell at you "omg racist nazi". Reality is, every single race out there can talk and be vocal about their race and be proud of it and all that crap, except white people. White people need to be endlessly shamed for things done by rich tiny minority of them 300+ years ago. I just find that ironic because blacks, arabs and asians are still into slavery even today and no one is shaming them for that. How come? But muh white people...

Absolutely, but the argument in this "study" -- read "quackery" -- is that being attracted to only certain skin-colours is racism, which....is stupid as well. Not being attracted to everyone isn't racism, so this whole argument isn't really about racism, it's just about someone spouting bullshit and seeking attention.
