  1. I have upgraded to an i5 6600k, and basically it won't boot with any devices or hard drives plugged in. I assume because I used to have a AMD processor running on this drive is why it's not working. I now have a keyboard plugged in, a mouse, but no HDD or SSD. How can I reformat my windows drive? Can I plug it into my other board while it's running and reformat it? Keep in mind, when anything is plugged in it just power cycles and doesn't even go to boot even though it turns on
  2. I want to upgrade my slow groggy laptop. It's a 5th gen i7 processor which would be a shame to let chug along slowly because of the shot HDD. Will I need to buy a specialized SDD that is either made by Dell for my specific laptop, a SDD meant for laptop sizes, or can I go down to frys get a drive and toss it in immediately?
  3. Is it posting multiple times? On my account it says I've posted it once only. I only submitted it once
  4. I have the 212 hyper evo, it's been a Beauty to look at in my case and provides better temps. Water cooling is a waste of money if you're not OC and even if you're pushing your processor to the max, I think you're fine with just air cooling from a good cooler.
  5. Hey guys, I have a msi 970 gaming motherboard, and I think it may be shot. I was using my computer fine the night before, put it to sleep, woke up and my case power light was blinking, completely powered down the system from the PSU and now it won't even post. I tried removing the PW switch plug and using a car key and screw driver to connect the two pins and short it but nothing happened. I don't think it's my psu because my GTX 970 still has a light on while the PSU is on. I had a power surge the night before and I've noticed I've had issues with FPS yesterday. I also had issues in the past where USB ports don't work on the board. Am I better off just going straight to MSI for replacement board or should I run some more trouble shooting on my side? Any advice or help would be appreciated thanks! i can also give pictures or full specs of my PC if needed.
