  1. Well, At this point, I've made my decision. I'm going with the Dell Core i7 model. I know I could definitely do better, but, it'll work out. I'll buy it an extra stick of 8GB RAM, so that way it'll be 16gbs. I will probably also replace the SSD in the future, and put W7 on it.
  2. This is a really hard choice, since I'm so limited on parts XD. I wish laptops would be like building a PC, nearly an endless sea of parts.
  3. I was thinking, if I do buy either of those Dell models - I would buy an extra 8GB stick, and put in a 1TB HDD, or get an external.
  4. Woah... Holy shit. That Lenovo one is good, real good. I'll have to put it up there as a strong consideration.
  5. I already have a Desktop. Built it myself, for around $1500. (Look in my profile.) Reason why I want a gaming laptop is because I wanna game in my bed at extended duration. And, also because I have an upcoming trip to the other side of the world in 3 weeks. I want something to keep me not bored.
  6. Looking for a new gaming laptop. Was hoping I could get some help in regards to getting tips and such. So, let's get to it, The main Laptops I'm looking at right now are - Dell Inspiron i7559-2512BLK i7 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015PYZ0J6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A3V5L3RN5VBL8S Dell Inspiron i7559-763BLK i5 http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-i7559-763BLK-Full-HD-GeForce/dp/B015PYYDMQ/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=04VK835VGV38GVG7KWYP The ONLY reason, I'm even looking at these two, is because of the VRAM on the memory. It's 4GB, as opposed to 2GB on some machines I've seen. Let's continue ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH71 http://www.amazon.com/GL552VW-DH71-15-Inch-Discrete-GeForce-Metallic/dp/B01578ZKPO/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=04VK835VGV38GVG7KWYP MSI GE62 Apache http://www.amazon.com/GE62-15-6-inch-i7-5700HQ-7200rpm-Computer/dp/B00YFE5OCQ/ref=sr_1_12?s=pc&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1456890237&sr=1-12&keywords=MSI+GTX+960m&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011 I'd like to keep the laptop at 15.6'', help would be appreciated. And feedback as well.
  7. I would honestly just go with the Corsair 200R. The Spec-01 looks gimmicky and weird. To me anyway.
  8. RAM these days are super cheap. You get get 16GBs for less than maybe $60 (USD at least). I have a lot of suggestions. And if you're gonna go with a GTX 970, it's advisable to go with a mobo that's at least $100. The H97 anniversary is an average of $80 around the markets. Here's some quick suggestions for a $1200 build Core i5-6600k MSI Z170 Krait Gaming ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory Noctua NH-D14 Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Western Digital WD10EZEX EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW ACX 2.0 Video Card Antec P100 / NZXT S340 / Corsair 300R EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
  9. SAO: Hollow Fragment is on sale right now, via PSN for $5 on the store.
  10. You can do a lot for $1200 (CAN). Do you have any preferred brands of parts? Watercooling or Air-cooling? What form factor? Basic questions. I, nor anyone can suggest without first getting a basis.
  11. Anyone can list down high-end parts to 'future proof' a build. At the end of the day, it's about what you're willing to pay for a high end system that you're envisioning. It's more than just picking out parts, it needs research and comparison as well. Don't end up with a system where you'll be unsatisfied with anything. Also, a GTX 970 is about on par with a R9 380, if not better. Just because it has more VRAM, doesn't necessarily mean it's better, and I'm not saying this because I prefer Nvidia over AMD.
  12. The most gaming my mom will probably do is play her stupid Facebook games, haha. If and when I build this little project, I will definitely think about upgrading parts on it. I reckon I could go with a GTX 950 first thing, so I could do light gaming (Dota 2, LoL etc etc) on it when I'm not on my main rig.
  13. My mom has been asking me lately for a PC to watch PPVs and such, then she could hook it up to the TV and watch her stuff. Right now, I have a setup based on the Intel Pentium G3258, and this is still a rough list, so I would appreciate tips and or recommendations. Yes, I know the RAM is 2400, and it won't run at that speed, but at that price, I just decided to go for it. And I could probably omit the CPU cooler, since I'm not gonna be OC'ing the chip.
  14. I eventually wanna upgrade my rig to either i7-4790K, or an i7-6600K, and get myself a 980ti. Aside that though, I love my system right now. As of today, I finally completed my setup, ending it with a SteelSeries Rival 300 mouse. 8D
