  1. Here's an interesting question. Is there a comparable Xeon that would perform just as well for cheaper?
  2. I'll keep that in mind, I'm leaning more towards the 6-core since I'm convinced it'll help with simultaneously gaming/streaming since that's my main goal here. It also meets the HTC Vive minimum requirements as far as I can tell. Thanks for all the support/suggestions! Now I just gotta wait for my taxes to come in. 3. Well, that was quick Thanks for the list, I'll look into those parts. Does anyone here have a 6-core CPU they have experience with streaming? I wanna see if it'd really help with performance.
  4. Cheaper than Skylake? Let me see if I can find some parts. I'd really only need a CPU/MoboMobo/RAM/PSU Any Mobo recommendations?
  5. Hey folks, I'd like to upgrade my PC for several reasons but not sure if it's worth the pretty penny. I currently have a 3770K w/16GB RAM and I stream daily and want to get into making Youtube videos and such so I'll be using Premiere and After Effects etc. I'm finding some games running slow (not at 60fps) while attempting to stream at moderate settings (720p 30-60fps 2500kbps). I'm thinking it's probably the processor showing it's age? Another reason I'd like to upgrade is to be ready for VR and the HTC Vive since it looks like the minimum requirements are quite high. On the streaming scene it seems like the common processor is the 4790K and people seem to have less lag issues than me. I'm just ranting now. Any suggestions? Thanks, --Marc
