  1. Should fit. No guarantees. I can't find anything on that case other than their website containing no real technical specs
  2. Your case can hold a CPU cooler 157mm tall. The Hyper 212 evo is 159mm tall. The Hyper T4 is 152mm tall. The Hyper T4 will fit and do a fine job at cooling.
  3. It's technically always good as long as temperatures are within normal range. But the good stuff wears out after a couple years; after it's worn out it'll keep the computer cool enough to run, but not as well as it could. With Intel you can use RealTemp found here.
  4. Coolermaster Hyper series. If a 212 Evo wont fit, try a Hyper T4.
  5. Something like this will work. Just follow along as it fits your needs. User compressed air to clean off any dust thats on the parts you will be reusing prior to installing them in the new build. You don't need a ton of PSI to clean it off if you're using an air compressor.
  6. Oh. Okay I gotcha. I thought you meant that you wrapped around in like a U shape of tape leaving just the SATA connector and stuff exposed. I have some of that on me so I can try it right now! Did you notice a big change in acoustics of the hard drive?
  7. So they're no longer screwed in, just pressure fit? That's fine. Just trying to get an idea of exactly what you mean
  8. http://www.moddiy.com/products/Professional-Single-Sleeved-Cable-Wire-Clear-Comb-(4-to-24-Slots).html They're 50 cents for a pack. Just pick up 4 packs or so and you'll have plenty.
  9. So far I've ordered: Carbon fiber vinyl to wrap case in Smoked acrylic replacement window Sound dampening foam 1 AF140 quiet, 2 SP120 quiet fans 280mm rubber gasket (2 pack) for radiator to frame, frame to fan. 120mm rubber gasket for rear fan. 140mm rubber gasket for top fan. I plan on sound dampening foam everywhere you can't see, wrapping the fans in sound dampening foam, and getting low noise adapters. I was wondering how to make hard drives quieter. Not that they're overly loud. It's just the loudest thing in my case when the fans are unplugged (was testing for noise). My radiator is a H110i GT from Corsair. Any help is appreciated!
  10. For 350 dollars you could definitely fix your laptop in pretty much anyway you break it. If I were you, I would get an SSD, a hard drive caddy, and 2 new batteries. That way you have 10+ hours of battery life you can have in your backpack.
  11. Is there anything wrong with your laptop? Why do you want to upgrade so bad?
  12. Probably not worth it. I'm sure your laptop would be fine with an SSD. You're talking 750 dollar laptop range.
  13. I know for a fact I can upgrade it. There's a whole forum of people who have upgraded them. There is added heat, but not so much that its unusable.
  14. What laptop do you have? My laptop has a socketed processor and yours very well could too. i'm running a 3210m but could easily swap to the quadcore / octothread i7 behemoth that is the same socket. You won't be able to upgrade the graphics. But even a dual core/quadthread i5 will be enough for school. Depending on the laptop you can get a hard drive caddy that replaces the disk drive and you can put windows on a 120/240gb SSD and have everything else on the HDD in the caddy.
