  1. So I've recently been stupid and posted stuff which was later stupid all together and/or unrequited. The kind of stuff that you just want to delete when people who know what they are talking about come and help so you just end up looking out of place and stupid. I was looking for a delete button, to my surprise it was ether missing or not clear enough for my dumb self to find. If I am indeed just blind and stupid, then a stupid proof delete button would be a nice addition. I'm terribly sorry if its just me being stupid, if that's the case I would love to test so by deleting this post -G
  2. First the basics, Is your Stuff compatible?: Does your motherboard have the socket required for the CPU? Is your CPU compatible with the type of RAM you are using (DDR3, DDR4, etc) Does your graphics card fit into the Motherboard? Does your motherboard have the correct slot for your graphics card?
  3. Lately I've been traveling with friends a lot. Its always good to have background music when we are doing stuff, but its become annoying to carry around this big old school iphone plataform/speaker and frankly Im sick of it. Im looking for something smaller than a Bose SoundLink Color and if possible with a price Equal or under $50. Thanks for the help guys, G-
  4. Thank a lot :D, happen to know any free ones? can't spare the money for now and I would like to have something to work with in the meantime
  5. Malware auto installing stuff , lots of it
  6. I'm looking for software to help me prevent this from happening again. Also I'm usually EXTRA carefully with the stuff I install and this time it seems it was out of my hands . Because of this it's the first time this has happened, therefore I would appreciate any help on what to do besides runing my antivirus Thank you guys -G
  7. Indeed but It leaves extra juice for future upgrades, its nice to shop without worrying about having enough power for new parts and I personally believe its worth the investment
  8. Windows 10 should have both service packs up to date. As for updating BIOS, if everything works and you are not sure how to do it then its ok to leave it as is, however it is worth properly investigating how to and eventually doing it, if Asrock recommends it, its for a reason
  9. I fixed it by applying rules boosting or slowing it when needed with the NVIDIA Control panel and forcing it to use the profile every time I boot a game, if that doesn't work Its worth re-installing the drives
  10. In case you are looking for cases I would recommend a Cooler Master, they have faptastic airflow and you can shove fans en every direction. EDIT: They also have really good fans and CPU cooling options for a good price
  11. It is enough that its enough, however I personally would recommend going for a 600+ just in case, extra juice is always a pulse and you DO NOT want to cheap out when buying power supply I personal use a Corsair CS 650 M and its bae
  12. Since by stress testing doing so you are pushing your system to its limits its normal for it to reach that temp, especially since you are not using proper cooling for pushing your CPU. The max temp on Intel's site is not the temp at which your CPU burns up and dies, however it is a good idea to keep in under that when its in NORMAL use. I do recommend upgrading cooling. Also airflow in and out of your case is important so I highly recommend at least getting a fan in there.
  13. Like most things regarding computer parts there is always a risk, Stress testing will push your PC to its limits unlike most normal usage. Things like voltage, cooling setting, temperature and age of the parts all together will play a part. In a perfect set up (proper voltage, ideal cooling, new parts) its not a bad idea to stress test with proper software to see the max reach of your rig. However bare in mind risk for error and damage is always real and its higher than usual when the system is pushing its limits.
  14. Hello lovely forum people, So here's my story. A bunch of friends were upgrading there gaming rigs and left there old parts laying around, so I kindly took said parts for myself. Since I didn't have, at the time, the budget to build anything really worth the money I ended up using whatever I could find. I managed to get a computer working and running games like CS:GO and Minecraft (Not including big modpacks which I would barely load if at all) really well. That's enough to a extent however games like Space Engineer and Just Cause 3 are unplayable and that really bothers me. Now With a $300 budget I would like to start upgrading at least enough to run new gen games in low settings. However even knowing a little bit about this field (indeed thanks to Linus) I decided to consult MUCH more experienced and qualified people than myself (yes, you lovely people) to prevent wasting the money I could be spending in stuff like the food I didn't eat the past month to be able to save money for this. So to not unnecessarily extend this post further here is my current PC: AMD Phenom II x2 ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 2000 Motherboard (AMD AM3+ CPU Socket) EVGA Nvidia GT 730 2GB Kit Sniper Series (2x4GB) Dual Chanel 1866MHZ DDR3 EVGA Nvidia GT 730 2GB Corsair Builder Series CX500 Cooler Master Mid-Tower RC-K380-KWN1 Were should I start? In my budget whats the best band for my buck I can get? Since I'm new here i would like to apologize for anything I might have missed or F up in the processes of posting this (such as posting it in the wrong place, posting something similar or outright the exact same as someone else, etc) I'm truly sorry And Thanks for any and all help! -E
