  1. Nothing running, checked resource monitor and everything is running fine.
  2. My PC is using a wireless connection using a pcie wifi adapter. I have also tried ethernet (normally attached to a different device) and my CPU usage is around 30-50% on wired and wireless on overwatch and GTA 5, but the ping still fluctuates a crapton.
  3. My normal ping is very low, and yes it is laggy for me because the norm is so low. Speedtest results are 100.09 mbps down 116.68 mbps up 7ms ping This is not a good representation of my internet, because whenever I hop on an online game, my ping skyrockets from the normal amount its usually at.
  4. Hi everyone, I don't really know what is going on with my connection so please drop tips and advice . My ping in video games is extremely high, and I've tested it across multiple games, such as GTA 5, Naruto Storm 4, Overwatch, CS:GO, and Rocket League. My ping is normally 15ms-30ms, but now it is very unstable and hovers around the 70ms-150ms range. I lag awfully and cannot play any of these games anymore due to this weird problem. I've tested the ping on games on wired and wireless connections, as well as on 3 different computers, with the same result. I've also tried flushing the DNS, clearing cache, and restarting and resetting the modem and router along with the channels they are connected to, but nothing seems to be fixing the high ping. My internet speeds however are fine with 100mbps down and 100mbps up, but I contacted my ISP and they said the hardware is running fine, and that it is not the cause of the ping spike. So what would the problem be? Please help me . Thank you all
  5. Hi all, I want to post about a new wifi card I got today. The TP-Link AC 1300 Dual band PCIe adapter I got claimed very fast speeds, but it is only netting me about 500kb/s. My old USB wifi adapter is much faster than this new card. I have tried updating drivers and troubleshooting networks, but it did not work. Can someone please help me? Thank you.
  6. Here are the codes inside the dmp file, please let me know how to fix these. I've ran countless ram and power supply tests, as well as rolling back my gpu drivers. Nothing seems to be working. Thank you! 7. I would want to win the Blade for gaming on the go, as well as watching content on it. I prefer the Blade over the Blade Stealth because not much content is currently in 4K resolution and it is unnecessary for my needs.
  8. the 970 is much higher in price than the r9 380, and the r9 390/rx 480 outperforms the 970. Also, the 970 only has 3.5 GB of effective GDDR5 memory.
  9. The i5 is a very powerful CPU, so it should not bottleneck unless the game you're playing is more CPU than GPU intensive.
  10. Lol i see, $380 usd for a 480 would've been outrageous.
  11. Is the pricing in cad and not usd? Overall a very good build. Also you will have to move the fan upwards a little due to the ram height or you can switch the fan to the other side.
  12. The 212 evo is a fine cooler, and 60 degrees is fairly well under the temperature limits of a cpu, however if you want something silent, I suggest you pick up an nf-f12 fan from noctua or a gentle typhoon fan from scythe to replace the one on the 212 evo.
  13. Lol these were extremely similar parts lists, I'll be sure to show my friend these tomorrow morning. Thank you for the lists!
  14. My friend wants to transition from his Apple laptop get into PC gaming, but he wants to play games like GTA and Doom at 1080p with a good amount of fps. He would like it to be in a super small form factor (mini itx) and he also needs a keyboard, mouse (mouse with a higher priority than keyboard), windows to go along with the parts. Please leave all suggestions below. Thank you!!!!!
  15. Although I have an R9 390,it consumes so much power and the heat coming out of my pc is insane and I would like to get a more power efficient card in the polaris generation of graphics cards.
  16. Case and power supply are missing, which would spike the price to around $550
  17. Here is what I threw together, it is a couple of bucks above your price point, but it is a very small amount. Also, why dual 1080p monitors on triple A titles with an rx470? It will probably work best with a single monitor. Also if you want a better case, I'd recommend the Corsair 200R or 100R. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/fzmhyf
  18. you're missing the case, storage and power supply, also what is that random dimm of hyperx ram?
  19. only a couple of times, just to benchmark it, but normally I run them both at stock.
  20. Hi guys, I would like to know how to solve this BSOD issue on my custom PC. Currently running Windows 10 64bit (x64), original OS installed was Windows 8.1 64 bit and it is a full retail version. The hardware is relatively new, about half a year old, besides the hard drive which is 2 years old. I have reinstalled the OS several times the past month trying to figure out this BSOD problem. CPU I'm running is a 4690k, GPU is an r9 390, motherboard is a MSI Z97 Gaming 5, and PSU is the corsair RM850. I have tried troubleshooting this for quite a while, and fixed about 2 of the 3 different BSOD errors. Would love a solution for this ASAP, currently avoiding any competitive game mode. 21. This is what I did, check it out. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/wNbtgL
  22. @OffensiveExile You could go for the 1080 for peace of mind
  23. There have been 1440p benchmarks for the 1070 fps wise in graphic intense games, and it looks much more geared towards that, so you should probably be fine with that considering triple 1080p is going to be 5760x1080, which is 75% of 4K and 20% more than 1440p resolution-wise. Up to you to save the extra $300 or so and go for the 1070 or just spend it all on the 1080.
