  1. Hello, I am making an electric bike and the motor controller is a 1000w controller and will draw 48V at 20A. I am going to be using 52 cells with 13 in a series and 4 sets of those in parallel. I will be using Samsung 30Q cells with a 15A maximum continuous current. I'm wondering if the batteries are able to safely output the required current and if what amperage rating of a Battery Management System do I need (Is 20 sufficient or do I need more?)? Thanks for the help!
  2. they have no preference but according to their professor, they need a windows 7/8/10 laptop. Otherwise, I would recommend a Chromebook. He plans to use it to write papers and use Microsoft office tools.
  3. I have a friend who needs a laptop around $400 (preferably that price or less). They don't mind going used and will be using it for schoolwork. So, possibly using an SSD. Thanks for all your help!
  4. Why do you have a GTX 590 in that new of a system? I'm just curious
  5. I don't quite understand what you are asking. At 1440p you should have good performance (above 100 fps). If you want to set the resolution to that you just need to have a 1440p monitor plugged in.
  6. I'd return the phone just to be a nice guy it's not worth the work you have to put into it.
  7. Hi! I run a small mobile repair/resell business. What you have encountered is called Google lock. I prevents phone theft. It usually can't be worked around on modern Android versions. It's most likely not worth the effort. If i were you I would just turn it in to the Police.
  8. Hello Rick! welcome to the forums! For gaming I would recommend either a i7-8700 Non-unlocked as it seems you don't want to bother with that: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700-Desktop-Processor-Cores/dp/B07598HLB4/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1547238146&sr=1-3&keywords=i7+8700 For a mobo I would recommend a gigabyte B360M: https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B360M-DS3H-LGA1151-Motherboard/dp/B07BQ9SSH7/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1547238103&sr=1-4&keywords=lga+1151+motherboard For your memory I woul go with a 2x8gb set of corsair vengance ram: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3000MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1547238066&sr=1-3&keywords=ddr4+ram+16gb If you have a higher budget You could go with a more expensive mobo but at the moment that should be a pretty good system.
  9. That can happen. How old is the card? is it new to you? How does it not work?
  10. What kind of computer are you trying to use it with?
  11. Like GRSS said that is a custom computer not a Compaq. Compaq merged with HP in 2001 and didn't produce any desktop computers during that time they only released the Ipaq. By the time HP started producing Compaqs the case design had changed dramatically.
  12. Looks pretty good to me! In my opinion I would go with a motherboard that suits your needs. no need to buy an expensive Z370 mobo If you aren't going to be overclocking. That's just my thoughts on that. Good luck and happy building!
  13. I see! I should have checked your location. Updated Link (still not affiliate):https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117826&Description=i7 8700&cm_re=i7_8700-_-19-117-826-_-Product
  14. Personally I would go with the i7 8700k as it has better single and Quad core performance and therefore will be better for gaming. However, the 2400x will be better for a more mixed workload. If it is strictly gaming I would go for the i7-8700k. If your firend won't be overclocking the card I would go for the i7-8700 non-unlokced CPU as you can pick one up on Newegg for $305 Link (non-affiliate):https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117826
  15. Personally, 1.35 is what I would use for everyday use. You could run 1.45 but I personally wouldn't leave it there full time. 1.35v is safe. 1.45 is ok for testing but I wouldn't run it for extensive periods of time.
  16. If you lost your configuration.h file I'm afraid I don't know of a way to retrieve it from your control board. I'm afraid you'll have to modify the stock firmware for your printer
  17. If you want the bios you'll have to call Packard bell yourself and see if they have the bios update or look for a similar/mod bios to use instead. Here is their number (it is from London) 0371 467 0008
  18. I just saw that sorry about that I'll see if I can find a clean one
  19. Ok I managed to find this with a quick web search. I believe that this is the correct bios for your Mobo. https://www.wimsbios.com/biosupdates/asus/6A69NA01
  20. If I was you what I would do is try resetting the CMOS by removing the Mobo battery and reinstalling it after 5 min. That might do something in the mean time I'll talk to some of my over click ng friends and see if I can find a bios for the mobo.
  21. That's pretty normal with PUBG. If you want better performance I would turn down shadows and render distance as those have the largest effect on FPS ( The chart shows 1080p benchmarks but adjust for resolution and you numbers are quite normal and many people with a 1080ti 1440p are reporting the same numbers as you)
  22. I looked it up sorry to bother I didn't know. I was just being paranoid
  23. You should definitely wait with GPU mining still going on most GPU's are very expensive and waiting a year or so to let it cool down and prices drop is a good idea. Right now my card sells for $60 more used than it did when I bought it new. While the GPU mining issue is slowing down it still has many cards above MSRP
  24. Unless you want a fresh install which in that case you could use the windows installation media: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
