  1. Would be a decent upgrade ! Mouse : Corsair, M65 Keyboard : Cyborg Gaming, V.7. Headset : Corsair, Vengeance 2100 Mousepad : Cyborg Gaming, G.L.I.D.E.7. Had to change peripherals overtime as they started dying, so a unified set would be nice looking too !
  2. I've got a HD6970 coupled with a Phenom II 1100T, CPU wise everything's fine. GPU wise, it may be time for an upgrade!
  3. I've got an old vga projector for work presentation, that would be a refresh and a good way to fill my apartment, in which I don't have a TV or anything beside my computer screens. Also, it looks awesome, paired with jaybird x2 for a fun Ori and the Blind Forest gameplay!
  4. I've got a Cyborg gaming V.7 bought in highschool. Yeaps, so a mechanical keyboard would be a much welcome gift !
  5. Woah, how generous of you! My since Highschool rig : AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition with a H100 cooling it, Asus RoG CrossHair V Formula-Z, and a Asus DCUII HD6970, it's still decent for 1080p low quality 60fps gaming, but it looks like I have a problem with my GPU looks like my fan doesn't talk with the computer Anyway, thank you very much !
  6. In a perfect world it would be both. But my mouse is more problematic, as it's a Cyborg R.A.T.7, and it's laser tracker is having X-axis tracking issues. Worst is the thick soft mouse pad and unstable mouse, making the mouse wobble, worsening the tracking.
  7. A simple ssd into an old pc can rejuvenate the pc. Either a parents or a friend that only use their laptop casually or for studying, an ssd boosts the battery life, makes the laptop more "rugged" against falling and fast movement. It also boost the system lifespan, as it's performance degrade slower than hdd overtime without any maintenance (most majority of people)
  8. Just in my department, the teachers and IT department are all like "Nah nah, those i7s and quadros aren't powerfull enough for xyz program" (autodesk like) when I have all of them installed at my home on a i5 and geforce setup, running of my ssds without problem. Any people I've installed ssds for their main OS have never seen a fastest computer. My gf have a i3/4gb ram laptop, I've installed a 120gb ssd inside, and her battery life has boosted, it's as fast as my own computer for her student-esque task. SSD "old-age" isn't as noticeable as a HDD. For my perspective, the only downside of SSDs is the price, as the finite life of an ssd, for an average normal user, will be the end of the computer itself for different reason.
