We can really speak from experience on this one. First and foremost, it's always a good idea to be mindful of what you show. Showing your face in and of itself shouldn't be much of a problem, though keeping your identity and private information out of the videos is a pretty good idea. Be careful what you show on the screen as well, always double check the videos. When it comes to having a good viewer base there are a few things to keep in mind: 1) Make sure the quality of the media is good. Doesnt have to be 4K but you want decent lighting and clear audio. 2) Be yourself and let that show! 3) Try and release content on a steady basis. Randomly uploading a video here and there is not the way to go. 4) Be creative! Re-inventing the wheel and simply making your videos the same as millions of others will hurt your chances here. 5) Give yourself time! A quality video in 2 days is better than a lower quality video in one day. Just some tips, hope it helps

According to LTT, Most games do not load any faster from an SSD, I would research the game itself maybe.

that would be making it a slave drive and then the "Program Files" folder wouldnt be on it. So we would have 2 Program Files folders and I have no idea how to do that with it being seamless. Know what I mean?

Hmm. Unnecessary? I dont understand. We have a 240gb ssd. We require an ssd as a boot drive. 240gb isnt enough space on the c: drive. We can afford another 240gb but not a 500gb. I really see no other way?

Let me say this though, I am not using the RAID 0 to increase performance, I am doing it to combine the two drives so I have sufficient size.

But it will legit only have program files (Installers of which are backed up elsewhere) and the OS (Which I store on a usb drive) so if they crashed, I would only be mildly annoyed.

Well I dont want to invest in an ssd above 240gb and i need more than the 240gb i have so why wouldnt I run them in raid 0?

So we have a new build (5820K, 32GB DDR4 Ram, X99A Motherboard) and things are going quite well. Just have a question about the hard drive setup. We currently have a 240gb SSD that we will be using for certain. We will be purchasing a WD Black 1tb 7200 for storage of files. It's the program files I am wondering about. 240gb may not actually be enough so we are thinking of another 240gb ssd in raid 0. The only things on this would be the OS and the Program Files. Nothing vital. Want to get the 1tb WD Black HDD for storage for sure, really dont want to purchase a single larger SSD than the 240gb to use. And since it's not easy to extend the size of the C drive later (And raid 0 impossible without deleting all data), this is what we came up with. Any suggestions on the best method?

That's a personal thing really. But from most guides I have seen including LTT ones, they use 80 degrees as the max temp.

You would be using the VPN more as a Proxy server. You would need to check the upload speed of the location you are wanting to use as a VPN/Proxy. If it is too slow, streaming video wouldn't be possible. If it has enough bandwidth and speed, you could route the traffic through.

A "quick & dirty" method would be to maybe use an iframe for the site's content. May be worth a try.

Ah ok. Well now I feel better knowing I dont have the "dinky setup of the forum" lol! The extra cores could help, but even in our case it's not worth it in this way. The price for the cpu alone is $600 more. As Linus demonstrated with the $150 gaming build setup, yes it's used parts, but you can put together a nice xeon server with 8 cores and use it either as network render or render farm. For our application that $600 for just 2 more cores alone wasn't worth it.

I watch LTT videos, makes it seem like everyone here has 4 980s in sli, 12 core cpus, etc. lol. We do content production so ya, we COULD use the bigger CPU, but its SOOO less performance per dollar.
