  1. I built a pc in the shift x as well. I tried to run as much as i could down the back under the rear cover. I made the mistake of getting a full size ATX power supply so my power cords are enormous and that worked for me. I was worried about bending the cover but it seems to be fine with the cables. If you want I can post some pics.
  2. I tried Lightscribe back in 2008ish and it worked about as well as I thought it would but never really had a use for it. I haven't owned a burner that supported it since then but I wouldn't necessarily say it sucks.
  3. This is incredible that they were able to get the image that large with such a short distance. Especially taking into account that there appears to be no distortion at all.
  4. Thats what I figured and I didn't think it would work to add a thunderbolt card to it.
  5. Thats what I thought but I would like to use an external gpu instead of cutting the connector.
  6. I think they are 2.0. I didn't think between 2.0 and 3.0 would be that much of a bottleneck. I would think the FSB would be more of a bottleneck.
  7. I would like to add an external gpu to my desktop. I know most will think...why? A little back story: My system is a Dell Poweredge 2900 with 2 quad core CPUs and a GTX 970. The 2900s have 4 PCIE x4 slots and my 970 is cut down to fit the slot, I would like to add a GTX 10something this year or next. I don't want to cut a second card especially if its a 1080. Additionally I cant have it on a PCI ribbon cable because I don't have space for it to hang sideways with the DRAC card and PERC raid controller being directly below it. As dumb as it sounds I would like to put an external gpu on top of the tower instead. Is this feasible or is the tech not there yet? Thank you for the advice.
