  1. Keep in mind that that board isn't actually "E-ATX" but rather a hybrid between ATX and E-ATX. Many motherboard manufacturers are calling their boards E-ATX when they are actually smaller than the 305mm x 330mm. It's just something to watch out for when picking up E-ATX boards, as common usage of the term differs across many companies That being said, it looks like the actual E-ATX would fit in your case too!
  2. For EUR50 more than the board I picked though, which is no small amount!
  3. That's not a bad idea, it's only around EUR15 more than the SLI Plus. One gripe I have with the boards you suggested is the Killer LAN controller, as the MSI board makes use of the Intel controller.
  4. I am also looking at other monitors, as the one I picked is amazing but is a FreeSync monitor. I am looking for a 1440p 27"+ monitor that looks really sleek and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
  5. I will be moving to the Netherlands, and therefore can't really take much with me in terms of hardware. I will be going for a quiet build that is relatively affordable as I will have a lot of other start up costs for when I first arrive. CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 (owned) Motherboard: MSI Z170A SLI Plus Graphics Card: MSI GTX 1070 Armor OC (will be SLI down the road) RAM: 16GB (4x4) Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133mhz (owned) SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (owned) HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB (To be replaced with a 1TB 850 EVO) (owned) PSU: Corsair RM750x CASE: Fractal R5 White - No Window Monitor: ACER XG270HU Keyboard: Steelseries Apex 300 Mouse: Logitec G602 Cost comes to around EUR 1600. Whilst I would like a single 1080, at nearly 800 Euro I will give it a miss. I need a PC and honestly can't justify such a high price - adding a second 1070 if I need the extra horse power will be fine for me. Feedback and thoughts? This PC will be used for a range of tasks, from browsing to heavy network work to gaming.
  6. Not sure why you quoted that stuff and didn't say anything?
  7. Yeh its a perfectly good card, although I am iffy about taking it to the other side of the world but oh well. I'm a bit tired of being stuck at 1080, but I guess I am being a bit picky. I will stick with the 970 and then pick up a 1080 when it comes out.
  8. Well, cost isn't really a big boundary so I can afford to splurge a bit - I just don't want to spend money for the sake of spending money. I am happy to buy premium, but there is wastefulness..
  9. ... so I already own a pretty new 970. I guess I hadn't thought of using that until one of the 10 series comes out. Not a bad plan!
  10. I really dig their AOI 980ti.. I just wish I knew how loud it was! If it's quiet then boom, it goes in the build.
  11. I like the single fan GPU, great idea! But I will be getting a 6700k eventually so I will need the cooling. Plus the Dark Rock looks badass.
  12. I am just transferring that over from my current rig whilst I have it - I will be getting a 6700k eventually.
  13. Yeh, I thought I would splash out on the silent and fast SSD - I will set up a home file server anyway so I don't need huge space.. I could probably go with a 500GB to be frank. And I don't particularly want to wait, it will be interesting for sure but the 980ti is still a great card, and will be so for a long time. Also, availability issues might be a thing? And I will need a PC before they come out.
  14. I am moving overseas and will be needing a new rig, as I intend to only take a few of the parts from my current set up with me. I wish to go for a quiet build, ideally mostly silent.
