  1. check the fan curve and see if you can make it a bit more aggressive. im not sure but i recall hearing issues of the 390 from gigabyte being a hot card in general.
  2. if updating the bios does nothing for you - try resetting cmos, it could be the RAM training acting up
  3. if Intel decided that the 5820k should be binned for different speeds and not just cores and you got a chip that was running higher then yes, someone didnt do their job properly. the speed advertised by Intel is the minimum advertised specifications
  4. Like rn8686 said, RAM is binned for a set speed. if you are able to get higher someone didnt do their job right
  5. So yeah, ill probaly stick with the plan of using Ryzen cpus for our workstations. The power consumption coupled with the higher temps is really off-putting.
  6. you should make a project out of it and slice one in half, idd watch dat video
  7. i guess i could just glue it back together and be like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ even tho its douchy af
  8. having done 2 delids on the 7700k i follow a simple rule. if you cant afford two - you cant afford to delid especially with these darn europe prices
  9. That glue seems super close to the surface components aswell...
  10. Oh i wish i had the money and the balls to delid this kind of product... but for my daily programming use its so overkill its beyond me
  11. Nice performance boost thats for sure. But damn that power consumption. I wonder if the temps are still under NDA
  12. Man if i had 500USD to cool a room idd feel wealthy could you share some info on your specs?
  13. it has been done, so if someone really wants it could probaly be replicated http://www.overclock.net/t/1628529/asus-crosshair-vi-wifi-add-on
