The 6800k is barely any better than a 6700k.
He is only doing this for school, not as a job, so extra money for x99 and a 6800k for a couple seconds or minutes is NOT worth it at all.
6700k is a much better option.

    Calm down.

First of all Linus doesn't have to do anything, he runs his own business and plans to optimise his income. You should also know that a 15-minute video like the ones made by LTT is made out of few hours of footage that is cut down to the best footage you get to give you only the crucial info while maintaining the quality and entertaining aspect of those videos. It takes time to go through that and meanwhile, I can assume, guys at LTT are going over and over the scripts for this and other episodes in the making, double and triple check that etc. So even if testing is done, there's still whole lot of work to do.

Secondly I think You're misunderstanding our statements from before. We said that we'll be launching the sales after the LTT release their review but that doesn't mean the launch date is the video release date. The thing is, while we can of course launch blindly and go with small batches, we'd want to rather sum up whole volume of sales for people interested at once, initially, rather then ordering tiny batches sequentially. The reason for that is if we go with big contract for 500 units then we have better control over the quality because of the contract scale and if there's some returns to be made we go with them once rather than going over and over at each 100 or 50 units batch. So we want to have subscription numbers, views, likes etc to approximate and start talking about terms with metal subcontractor to optimise our business.

Finally we're a bit out in the field with sales handling since rules at payment processors changed quite a bit over the crowdfunding era, forcing such projects/startups as ours to go through crowdfunding, if we don't have the stocked product initially. There's also tons of stuff on the legal side of payment processing we have to check out to make sure everything's going to work fine.

Dude shut the heck up! It takes time to make a video, not only that it take time to plan, tinker, script, film, b-roll, edit, render, upload, then it goes to vessel for a week, then to YouTube. So its going to be a little bit of time before you see it. Not only that, he might just be giving these guys some tips, and make a review on the final version of the case. Its up to @SaperPL and @ZombiPL to do what they want with their product. They want to make sure that someone they trust can tell them how to improve upon the case. So please stop being so Toxic on this thread. Thanks hun

CPU: PC's Brain. It does all the heavy lifting. Performance CPU's are Intel (i5 or i7). $$$$ AMD is budget. $$$
Motherboard: Every other component connects to this. It literally connects parts so they can all be used in the system. Budget mobo: <$100. Gaming mobo: >$150
RAM: Random Access Memory: Basically your short term memory. More RAM = more chrome tabs. When you turn off the PC RAM forgets everything. $$
SSD/HDD: Storage. It stores everything: Windows, documents, games. SSD = fast. HDD = Slow. SSD = $$$ HDD = $
Graphics Card: Makes things look pretty. AMD = budget and Nvidia = performance. Price: $$$ to $$$$
Power Supply: This should be self explanatory. Price: $$
Case: Holds parts. Cheap case = $. Nice case = $$$
CPU cooler: Cools the cpu. Lower temps = good speed and long life. Air cooler: $ or $$. Water Cooler = $$$

    I agree mostly,
I5 and 7 are not the only performance CPU's, ZEN is just around the corner and I hope to be pleasantly surprised by the results.

AMD does not always mean budget in regards to both CPU and GPU (as your post states). Generally AMD means better bang for buck when put up against similarly priced Nvidiia alternatives. Remember that there are low tier NNviidia cards and there are high tier AMD cards. The reason many people 'go green' is that Nvidia tended to run cooler than AMD in previous CPU and GPU generations.

Motherboards are  essential but need not be expensive, $80 Mobos are often enough for light gaming

DDR3 RAM goes for about $5 per GB (in Australia) and 8 GB is all you need for light to medium-high level gaming. The next step is 16 and that's just overkill.

Cases have no performance additions to performance other that extra airflow, don't spend over $60 on a budget case, Carbide Spec 02/03 look good and are really cheap.

For storage, I would suggest to get a 120-240 GB SSD (about $60-80 for a cheap one) for use as a boot device and a 1TB HDD for storage (WD blue is probably your best bet). Note that HDD's aren't slow, SSD's are just very fast.

So yeah, that's a bit clearer for you OP

Please excuse double letters, the laptop  am on has a horrible keyboard.

Google has finally released Android 7.0 Nougat after many months of beta. The beta program was started much earlier this time around and release is therefore earlier than previous schedules. This was probably done to better align with Android device manufacturer schedules/product launches.
The new Android version won't be a major departure from Marshmallow but will bring a bunch of new features and under-the-hood changes that improves upon Android.
    Among the new features are:
Vulkan support VR support (Daydream) Better multi-tasking including new screen modes such as split screen and PIP Improved Doze for better battery life Improved notifications including bundling of notifications to avoid clutter Various performance improvements including new JIT compiler Improved security with file-based encryption, hardening of media libraries (Stagefright) through sandboxing and restricted permissions. Also, enhanced secure boot. Seamless updates (only possible on new devices shipping with Nougat) by having two system partitions that can be swapped during a reboot. Besides the Nexus devices which can obtain the update now, there will be devices shipping with Nougat soon; the first being the LG V20 which will ship in September. Alas, most devices will not be updated and those that will are going to wait quite a while in the majority of cases.

It's a high priority project for me.

Been waiting on some custom Cablemod cables for it so I can see what optimal cable management might look like (possibly a requirement for the Titan X I plan to install) in this case.

They arrived yesterday and I'm working on this review right now. There's often more to our scheduling than meets the eye.

It's not exactly our company's but a community project (mostly people from [LTT] and [H]ard forum) which we made in our free time. Linus is a member of this community, and at the beginning he declared he want to help us with it. Now he has the opportunity, and we're happy he and also many other people are still interested in our small project And that's all.

during Linus' 220x review he'd noted that the h80i was 13° warmer with push/pull over the h100i with a pull fan. so leaving that kind of cooling performance in a difficult airflow case is an easy decision. use the h100i over the h80i.

I would say that the single fan rad isn't really that good, but it depends on how big of an overclock you want. You obviously have a K processor, so i would say go with the double rad to get the most out of the CPU.

    uh
you want a dual fan radiator AIO
because single fan ones arent worth it
you can get cheaper air coolers that perform better and are quieter than a single rad AIO like the H80i

If you have your phone in your pocket and the watch on your wrist, when it gets cold enough for those to stop working, you'll have bigger problems than these devices not working.

You should be fine as long as you don't leave it outside. Even then, the shutdown is only temporary, it should start working again when you warm it up (watch out for condensation!). Only thing that has the potential to permanently stop working is the battery. It's unlikely and even if it happens, it's not that expensive to replace it.
