  1. No offense taken. It is actually visible for logged in members apparently. However, the name of the subforum is VERY uninformative to be honest. Something like "Marketplace" or similar would be way more useful in my opinion.
  2. Heya! With all the builds and upgrades that people do, I feel like we are missing a portal/subforum/website where we as the community can sell/buy hardware from each other. Be it parts or entire builds. I believe a separate website might be more suited for this, but you decide. I simply believe that there is tons of hardware lurking among the members that they most likely would like to sell and others need. Make it happen please!
  3. Hey everyone! I've been trying to track down a white/limestone Louqe Ghost S1 case in europe (final destination Denmark or Germany), but can't seem to find the bloody thing on any store/website. Even a used one might be an option at this point. Is anyone here selling it or knows where I can get my hands on one?
  4. Yes. The setup is as follows: iPhone 6s ----- Lightning_Cable ----> MacBook Pro The OBS Camera App streams 720p/30fps to the macOS OBS Studio App and that saves it to a file on the Desktop (ssd).
  5. Not sure. Most likely, it's just Apple being too lazy to implement stuff. I dug a little deeper (or rather looked to possible other sources of the problem) and found that my CPU usage spikes to almost 100% when recording. 720p/30fps is doable. 1080p/30fps is the limit, although even here I get some tearing and frame drops. I guess my Laptop isn't up to the task. (No dedicated GPU sucks)
  6. The issue I have is most likely the data transfer speed between my phone and my MacBook. Currently, I'm looking into the lightning port and the possibility for 5 GHz connection. 1. The lightning cable apparently only support USB 2.0 (at theoretical 450Mbit/s) which is way too low I guess 2. Though you can connect your phone to a 5 GHz network, you cannot connect the phone and the macbook to each other on the 5 GHz band (Hotspot). It only allows for 2.4 Ghz. (Might be wrong) Am I missing something?
  7. Hey guys! I've been looking for a solution which allows me to use the rear camera of my iPhone 6s and record the stream directly to my MacBook Pro 2013. The key is: 1080p 60fps. So far, I've come across and tested ... OBS Studio with the OBS Camera App for iOS Technically works, but I have yet to find the correct settings for it to run smoothly. It looks like I can't feed the stream fast enough to the device (neither via USB, nor via WiFi) Quicktime Screen Capturing This is good for viewport adjustments, but there is no way to record from the camera. This just records the display which reduces quality significantly. EpocCam Didn't really work well either. Do you guys see any reasonable possibility for this?
  8. Can you post the log file? And: Are there any prerequisited for installing the package? EDIT: I just checked the prerequisited. Indeed, you need to have "Visual Studio Professional 2012 or higher" installed. What you are trying to install there is just the SDK which has templates, tools, reference assemblies etc.
  9. And costs about $150 more. I guess it depends on your budget and/or how much flexbility you have.
  10. Thanks. The bass adjustment looks interesting. I've read though, that the headphone is a little bit weak on the mid tones. For gaming and music it might not be that bad, but what about speech/dialogue in movies? Clear or muffled, what's your take on this?
  11. I didn't kow the vmoda boom mic existed and after looking at a few reviews including sound tests I must say I'm impressed. Any suggestions on the headphones themselves?
  12. Yes, I saw that one. However, the additional cable (even with the sleeve) is a no go for me. I am a fan of wired head gear. But it should be minimal in size
  13. Hey guys, I just built myself a new rig including a cherryMX Red Keyboard and had a first look at the audio scene in order to buy a decent sound system. Main activies are: movies, gaming (single- and multiplayer with voicechat). Budget: (A) ~150 €/ ~$160 for a headset OR (B) ~200€/ ~$210 for a heaphone + desktop mic This is how far I've come: DAC: I have an Asus ROG IX Hero which has a shieled SupremeFX 8 integrated. This is my OnBoard DAC I assume. I don't need an external one. This one has clear soundas far as I can tell. AMP: Depending on the headset/headphone. Though I don't think I'll need one. MIC: Headsets generally have an integrated mic. However, even the best headset mics sound like the announcement on a plane (i.e. bad quality compared to the desktop microphones). Desktop microphones definitely have better audio quality. Audio: Headphones tend to have a better audio quality but lack features like surround sound for immersion and audio controls. The "no compromises option" seems to be the following: Headphone for good audio, Desktop mic for good input (optionally an AMP for controls in the future. e.g. sennheiser gsx s1000) What are your thoughts on this? A or B? Or something entirely different? What products would you recommend?
  14. So, what models would you recommend for the positive pressure optimized configuration? Keeping noise level low is ofc welcome
  15. Thought so as well. I'd lay it out as: Front -> Intake Back & Top -> Outtake Keeping noise level in mind, what would you suggest as fans? I can't decide between Noctua and beQuiet! (And don't even know about specific models)
