  1. Wont that reduce audio quality though? I would like a way that doesnt just incase I do want to listen to music. But thankyou that might be the easiest way.
  2. So what I would like to do is be able to use my nintendo switch and watch a youtube video on my computer and hear both audio sources through my one set of headphones. I am wondering if this is possible at all and if anyone can help me out. thank you very much.
  3. I had a harddrive die on me a little bit ago and it is no longer connected and I replaced is with an ssd under a diferent drive name in windows 10. Drive A: died, replaced with drive D:.... This is all good except when I got to change or remove programs in the settings all the programs that were installed on the drive that died are still there and I do not know how to get rid of them. If anyone has a tip to help out with this that would be fantastic.
  4. I would recommend getting another 1080 variant as the armor cooler is awful. If he wants to stream and record I would 100% recommend the i7-8700k or ryzen 7 2700, the fewer threads in the i5 will hurt performance a lot. If he does get an i5 I would recommend not recording while streaming and yes a ssd is always recommended but never needed.
  5. Depends on the use case. Are you going to use the speakers? What is the difference in response time? Are they the same size? Is one calibrated? We need more info.
  6. The reason no one has done it is because you would have to custom make a bracket to hold the motherboard as well as the psu would be too small to fit inside which is why the 360 had an external power supply. It be cool if you did the build but it would require a lot of effort and also cooling would be terrible because if you can even find a cpu cooler that fits its going to be really small.
  7. The 7700k can more often than not get a higher overclock causing it to have a little higher single threaded performance
  8. EVGA is also good when it comes to robust vrm design it is such a neglected thing when it comes to motherboards bu is so nice especially when you are a serious overclocker.
  9. I dont know exactly how amd has implemented the igpu but theoretically you could in direct x 12 titles for some performance gain or performance loss depending on the discrete gpu and how allocated ram is has access to.
  10. My favourite game cinebench uses it. Haha im funny. Anyways now a serious answer, the vast vast majority wont utilize more than 4 cores and even if they did most of the time 4 faster clocked cores will be better for gaming than 8 slower cores which is why the 7700k is still the best for fps in games.
  11. What are you using it for because that will determine whether you should upgrade the cpu or gpu. Personally I would recommend a cpu upgrade first as it will make the compute quicker in everything not just gpu intensive applications.
  12. It would cause problems for people who already bought a gpu and they would feel that they were lied to about performance based upon the name change
  13. I hope you realize that this really doesnt solve anything and would just cause more trouble if it was implemented
  14. so the 1060 3gb=1050ti.... 1050ti=1050 so what is the current 1050 going to be. the 1040?
  15. For ocntrollers it all comes down to personal preference and the game you are using it for. I personally dont like the steam controller or any of the logitech controllers I have tried. I still use an xbox 360 controller when I use a controller on my pc, I do like the xbox one controller a little more than the 360 but they are expensive to buy new for something I rarely use.
  16. So what you are getting at is you think the 6gb 1060 should be a 1060 ti.
  17. Clear cmos(take battery out of motherboard for a few minutes then put it back in) make sure computer is unplugged. hopefully it will then boot or you will have an error code on your motherboard that you cna look up in the motherboard manual
  18. Not really the issue I was getting at, I was talking more about getting access to the pcie slot everytime and if you are getting a custom case is it really cheaper than just buying a new laptop with a gpu
  19. It would be about the same performance as thunderbolt 3 but much less convenient if you want it to be portable.
  20. Get worse overtime no actually the opposite if they are not disturbed(ie scratched further) dust will collect in them and cause them to appear smaller.... Until you clean it that is.
  21. Well yeah its use is to capture your footage so you can use programs like obs on your pc and do things like have custom overlays and bit/subscriber notifications as well as having better quality than actually streaming from your ps4
  22. You said stuff is more expensive where you are at. Well where do you live so we can use the right currency.
  23. You can buy adapters to attach a gpu through the pcie slot that the wifi card is attached to but as for buying one they are all thunderbolt
  24. You can put a k series chip in the h370 motherboards however you wont be able to overclock and the extra 100mhz is not worth the money you will pay for the 8700k so I would suggest the 8700 if you are sold on an h370 motherboard. I would highly recommend a larger coooler than the nh-l9i as if there isnt fantastic airflow in your case you will probably thermal throttle when under continuous load. Only use it if you are going to use a case that cant fit anything bigger and you care more about the aesthetics of the case than performance.
  25. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/RMfCLJ APU build I cant recommend a build with a gpu(assuming you are buying things new) because with a $600 budget you might be able to get a gt 1030 but you will have a much worse cpu so I would recommend the apu and save up to then get a gpu.
