I have a budget of $700 and I was wanting a portable/light laptop to store pictures as well as do school work, nothing major, just to take notes and such. I would prefer windows 10 or somewhere along those lines.

Of course.. I have watched many, and I mean MANY videos on building a computer. I think the most confusing is the sata/data cables and everything.. Plus my house is all carpet so I need to continuously ground myself

I got my parts today.. I can't wait to build this! I'll keep you guys updated on the final results of this. thank you to everyone who helped me.. I'm going to build it Wednesday because PSU and Monitor are coming.. I can't wait.

you can get them on reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap and get the cd drive in a usb format unless you need it for some things. but going on reddit will get you windows 10 for 25 dollars.
