  1. Hello! I've been putting around in my little beta for quite a while now (i call him Stanley the Stang) and have gotten pretty good at flight controls with my mouse, but i want something a little bigger and a little more tech heavy, namely one of the reliant variants. i have 80 dollars to spend and i know that when it goes flight ready there will be a sale, but i can get one now with LTI for around the 70 dollar mark. Do you think that i should wait for the sale or get it on the grey market? how much do you think the sale price will be? any advice is welcome. Thanks!
  2. Heya everybody. im going to be pleding for a mustang beta and reliant kore soon and was wanting to hear some thoughts on upgrade paths for the kore (im only getting the beta to have something to fly in till the reliant goes flight ready) obviously i'd need a jump engine, but what else could be useful to someone interested in exploration and smuggling? oh, and i'll be buying the alpha first for the game package and using 10 bucks to melt that ship into the beta.
  3. its not vital id expect that with that cpu cooler you'd see around 25 C idles and a gpu temp that may thermal throttle a little but the card has plenty of power so i wouldnt worry to much.
  4. budget? and is this a complete overhaul, or do you wanna save some parts?
  5. should be okay. more fans would help marginally, but you should be fine.
  6. ahhh. well thats no fun. and here i thought that i could put the mobile i7 i ripped out of an old laptop to use. thanks anyway.
  7. well, i was planning on selling the laptop after i was done with it. its just a project that sounded like fun and i already had a decent prebuilt one.
  8. hrmmm. thats kinda sad. i wonder why that is.
  9. Hey everybody. I've been building pcs for a while now, and want to try something new, and i feel that building a laptop sound like a nice project just different enough to be interesting. The only problem is that i dont really know much about building a laptop. i need some advice on what barebones notebooks are good, maybe some pricing schemes, anything that any of you think may be helpful. i have 800-900 dollars to do the build.
  10. So, I've been doing architecture for about 3 years now, and it would take me another 3 to graduate (5.5 year degree), but i dont think i love it, and its really stressful, and reportedly the 2nd most difficult major at osu besides veterinarian. i could change my major to computer science, which is something i already do for money and really enjoy and get it done with in the same amount of time. im just not sure which route to take, and dont really have anyone to talk to about it, so id appreciate any advice.
  11. hmmm, to ease the burden of buying a windows ten key, do you by chance have a machine that runs 7 or higher that you are not using? if so, you should be able to use that key to activate windows 10, assuming you have a way to download win10 in the first place
  12. I am interested in learning more about the community as a whole, and would like to know what personality types tread the waters of a tech forum such as this most commonly (and most rarely). I am doing this out of sheer curiosity. I myself was designated as the "Debater" (ENTP) Personality. 14. ive only played the first dark souls. i thought it was quite good even though i kinda sucked at it. bloodborne and souls are really similar though, so if you dont like one you may not like the other, unless it was just the setting and story you didnt like from bloodborne, then you may be okay.
  15. i didnt even think about keeping the laptop 100% intel. lol but thats probably cause my rig has so many brands in it.
