  1. I would go with the 502. It is a great mouse, while I don't use one myself, I have used my friend's and it was great. Also, it is on sale for $60 on Amazon right now.
  2. There isn't really much benefit to an extended mouse pad (the ones that go under your keyboard). Main thing is that it just looks better. Anyways, I would recommend the Glorious Extended Mouse Mat. It is pretty simple, being completely black or white, other than a small logo in the bottom right corner. Either way, it is cloth, has anti-fray, and doesn't smell like a tire factory when you first use it. It's only about $20-$25 on Amazon if I remember correctly. Also, if you wanted an RGB lit mouse pad, this does not have RGB.
  3. Went to Best Buy today and bought a Corsair Strafe RGB. Been using it for a few hours now and I can say that I am loving it. It's RGB lighting is absolutely awesome.
  4. I might go for the strafe... Slightly cheaper, the LEDs seem to shine a bit better, and the only real cons to it is the fact that it doesn't have some of the same media keys and that you don't have the brushed aluminum look.
  5. I have heard about the RGB K70 series keyboards having lots of dead LEDs only a few months after use. I have heard this about the older models at least. I was wondering if this was still an issue with the rapidfire and the lux K70s or not? Also, is it worth buying one? I understand it is definitely in the range of the law of diminishing returns, but is the overall quality good? EDIT: Forgot to mention, would it be better to buy the strafe? It is still RGB and has reds, but it is slightly cheaper. Any problems with it?
  6. Think I'll stick with the Castor. The G Pro after looking at it again seems a little too simplistic and it lacks any kind of finger rests. From what I can gather the G seems like it may have a bit better sensor, but since I'm not looking into any kind of competitive gaming I guess that's ok.
  7. So I have been looking into getting a new mouse for gaming, and I have heard absolutely great things about the Mionix Castor. I have had my eyes on it for awhile now, but a few months ago Dmitry from HardwareCanucks released a video about the Logitech G Pro mouse. He then said that it was among the best, if not the best mouse he had ever used, when he had previously said that was the Mionix Castor. Which one should I get? They are both the same price, so there is no difference there.
  8. I need a program that can decompile .sb files. I want to extract some character models from a game to make into a mod for Garry's Mod, but I don't know how. Anyone that can help?
  9. It really depends who you are. I would say most, including myself, would go for dual 1080s. However some people stand very strongly with single card configurations just because they typically have higher minimum frame rates and less stuttering in game, however SLI has gotten much better over the years and while you still may experience some lower minimum frame rates, stuttering shouldn't be too much of an issue. You would definitely get more performance with the 1080s, it is really just if you care that much about minimum frame rates and the fairly low risk of stuttering.
  10. So I severely messed up when buying a new microphone. Luckily it was very cheap, but I still did not notice that it was a smartphone mic. I saw "Windows" in the name, so I assumed it worked on PC. but I completely forgot about Windows phones. Is there any way to get this working on PC? I have it plugged in to the pink port on my motherboard I/O, I have all realtek audio enhancements off, I have volume and dbm at max, but I still can't hear my voice. All I get is static. Please help.
  11. I have finally made up my mind and I ordered the Superlux HD668B. They will be here within a few days, and I can't wait to try them out. Thanks everyone!
  12. I am thinking of picking up the HD668B as soon as tomorrow, as I have been hearing a lot of good things about them and I can't seem to find anything close to my price range that is noticeably better. I am also going to throw in the velvet earpads, just because I am huge on comfort, and they are only $6 or something like that. I am going to pick up a cheap lav mic until I can get the antlion, because I don't quite have the money for both as of right now. I would wait, but the right ear of my current headset is broken and I can't stand this for much longer.
  13. I had heard about the 668B, and was planning on getting them, but I wanted to make sure there weren't any other options before buying. Thanks for your recommendation.
  14. So I am in the market for a new pair of headphones, but I am not sure which ones to get. I do not want a headset, because I am fully aware of the compromises that are included with those, so I want normal headphones that I will just attach an Antlion Modmic 4.0 to. I want them to be around $50, but if you have to go a little bit above that is ok, as long as it is actually worth throwing in a bit of extra money. I am looking to do mostly gaming with these, so surround sound is definitely a plus, but I may also use them for other things. It doesn't matter if they are open or closed.
