  1. Is there any kind of dock or adapter that allows for that connection?
  2. I've heard thunderbolt 3 and usb 3.1 (C) are interchangeable. Would that work? Or is there an external thunderbolt dock I can use?
  3. My post says I already have a 2070 super at home. Not to mention students can get all there stuff done and still have time to relax sometimes! Just depends on the person workload and college. Still though not necessarily what I was asking. I just want to know if it will work with my laptop.
  4. Not necessarily what I was asking. I see saying USB-C works with it. And if you have an external thunderbolt doc that can work as well. So what's the deal

  6. Hi all, I have a Lenovo Ideapad with 8gb DDR4 and a 10th gen i5. Pretty decent stuff for gaming. Problem is, it only has Intel HD graphics. I have a beautiful rig with a 2070 Super at home, but it's a pain taking my PC setup with me to college. For some reason, I have seen back and forth information on what kinds of laptops can actually be compatible with an e-GPU. My laptop has a USB-C port, so is that good enough? Does it have to be a certain kind of port? If so, what kind of port do I need to be able to use an external GPU?
  7. Should I go for a 1080 Ti or a 2070 Super instead of a 1070 SLI do you think? @ All
  8. I have not checked, actually, no. I mainly play BF1/5 and the Battlefronts, as well as Fortnite, the new star wars game, and some lighter titles.
  9. Even still, an RTX 2080 TI is over $1100. Even if this is 5% slower in some games, or 10% or even matches/exceeds in some games which I have seen, isn't that value absolutely insane?
  10. Hi all, I have just learned that two GTX 1070's can match a RTX 2080 Ti... For a LOT cheaper if you get them refurbished or used. They're going for like $230 on Ebay and even $260 for Founders Cards. I recently recieved a DOA Rx 5700XT and thought I'd get an nVidia card after only running AMD and then I made this discovery. My question: Is a 750 W Silverstone 80+ Gold enough power for non-OC'd Gtx 1070 SLI? Plus a Ryzen 5 3600X. Secondary questions: Is it a good idea to do a 1070 SLI? Are there games that can't use both GPUS? If so will it revert to using the top card?
  11. It's not listed anywhere. When we try to install the driver, it says it can't be installed because no AMD graphics cards are detected in the system.
  12. Hi all. I have a new build and my computer isn't detecting my 5700XT at all. My specs: Mobo: Asus ROG Strix B450M CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x RAM: 2x8 (16) GB 3000MHZ ddr4 2tb + 500gb HDD + 512 SSD Silverstone 750W 80+ Non-modular When I turn on the computer with the 5700xt plugged in and powered on, every light and fan turns on in the computer but I have no signal and no output to my monitor. This is with no drivers installed, for anything except a newest flash update of the Bios. When I unplug that card and throw in an old GTX 670, it boots up perfectly and runs fine and is recognized. The fans spin and the RGB lights turn on when the Gigabyte Rx 5700XT is plugged in, but nothing else happens. We tried flashing the bios, changing the PCI-E x1 lane to 3rd gen (as some people have noted fixes the issue) and tried all 3 PCI-E slots. We've come to the end of the trail and are deliberating on attempting to install the drivers with the card plugged in (but not powered by PCI/VGA cables) while the PC is running off of the 670. We also tried switching HDMI cables and even a different set of PCI/VGA power cables. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Hi all, I am currently dealing with a failing/broken wifi card (new one will be here in a couple days). It keeps / kept disconnecting from the dual-band signal our router is giving off, sometimes after 30 seconds, sometimes 10 minutes, or 4 hours. No rhyme or reason. I put on my hotspot through my phone (samsung note 8) and it connected immediately, got 20 ping, and 100 mbs down. I know for a fact that my data, even though its 4G LTE, puts out about a 5 down 2 up strength signal to any device I usually connect it to. My question: If my note 8 is on wifi, and i turn on a hotspot and connect another device to it, is it simply replicating and sharing that same wifi signal? I was able to download like 30gb of stuff through it at 8mbs (fast for steam) down with no connectivity issues.
  14. Oh, sweet. I think I'm all set then. Thank you very very much
