That's the thing. I don't remember what I did

So I was messing with the dns settings in my computer and now I can't access the internet. When I try accessing a website, I get the message "There is something wrong with the proxy server or the address is incorrect. It suggests that I disable proxy servers in chrome, which it already is. and when I run windows diagnostics I get this message. "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (web proxy) is not responding". Some sources tell me to go into the change adapter settings and selecting internet protocol version 4 and six and selecting obtain IP address and dns servers automatically but that hasn't helped. I am running on windows 10 and I am connected to a college dorm wifi. If anyone has any tips, I would be grateful

I'm a teacher so I use Moodle a lot. I have a work laptop, a personal laptop and a personal stationary. The problem is that I can't access moodle on my stationary. The connection always times out. I am not running a proxy server and I can connect to it fine on my other laptops that are on the same wifi Any help is greatly appreciated

This has got to be the most desperate and far fetched threads I will ever make. Blues and Bullets is a steam game that I got as a gift. There is a bug with it where the cursor is just a white square as soon as you enter the game. Googling has yielded no answers and threads on the steam forums have gone unanswered so I decided to take a shot in the dark and ask here for a solution.

In that case, if I wanted to upgrade, would it be better to invest in a motherboard with more support down the line? That is the thing I am wondering about most. I might be overthinking things though

That's a good point. I think the thing I am most worried about is whether or not newer processors are going to be released for 1150. 4790k is the best one, to my limited knowledge. Are they likely to release new ones?

I have been noticing that a lot of the tech stores in my area have either stopped selling 1150 processors or made it so that you need to order them specifically. Is this an isolated case or have you noticed this as well? What are your thoughts?

It is yes. I edited the post. I am torn. I love this OS but this bug is windows vista level bad.

So my parents' laptop ran into this problem where clicking on the windows and search buttons doesn't work. The windows key does nothing and it requires a restart to fix. Annoying to say the least. This has happened to me before on my PC and at the time, the only solution I found was to reinstall windows. This is on Windows 10 Does anybody have a less drastic solution? All responses are appreciated

I get around 55-60°c during prime95 so my temps are pretty nice. I will install the low noise adapters tomorrow and see for myself

I know this seems like an easy question but I haven't found any answer using google. So I bought an NH-D14 CPU cooler and I am loving the temperatures it gives me. It is kinda loud though. After digging in the box again, I found these two low noise adapters. I am assuming that using them will sacrifice some performance. I was wondering if anyone knew just how much? I'd like to know before I decide to test it out myself
