  1. Thanks for the correction! As I understand it, Samsung's QD-OLED and LG's W-OLED are somewhat similar, right? Damn, that is some great insight right there, thanks, that pic is great too. So, nothing like I'm asking for until end of next year huh, that sucks. Odds are probably low that Samsung Display sees it differently, right? I might have to rethink what I'm looking for, then.
  2. Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had some extra info on why I couldn't find a single new OLED 4K 27" monitor at CES this year. I know a lot of people don't think 4K makes sense at 27" and I'm not about to start that discussion here. There's actually a great reddit post on the matter here. Suffice it to say that yes, I am informed, and I still want more PPI than 1440p at 27" and don't want a bigger display either. But that's beside the point, since there already are 27" 4K OLEDs out there, so I'm just confused as to why they dropped that segment. I don't think it would straight up be dropped due to low sales numbers, but maybe I'm wrong there. From what I've seen from the new releases at CES, they're all 32" 4K 240Hz (which makes sense since they're all using the same LG Display), and the only 27" OLEDs are 1440p 360Hz - those do, also, still look amazing, but are just not what I'm looking for. But what about non-gaming displays? I'd actually be fine with 60 Hz in this case, I just want the best image quality for consuming content since I do my gaming on an existing 1080p 360Hz display and play mostly competitive games. And so far, the existing 4K 27" displays haven't been bright enough for me to pull the trigger (I think that's mostly because in general OLED has a difficult time getting as bright as IPS or VA, and has to deal with burn-in, but I really thought this would be the year where the tech would be mature enough). My ideal monitor would be 27" 4K OLED 144Hz+ HDR800+, and the monitor I've found that comes closest would be the ViewSonic VX2722-4K-OLED, but I'm not sure if that would be a good idea because I've heard nothing about this display from any sources. In fact, I can't even find it on ViewSonic's website. So that's why I was disappointed not to see any coverage. Is it maybe that they're considered "inferior" to the ones being shown at CES and thus will be released later without any fanfare? That would calm me down, but I just don't know if that's the case. If anyone has some extra insights or opinions that aren't simply "don't buy 27" 4K", I'd be glad to hear (read)!
  3. Thanks, will definitely be trying this. I was indeed suspecting a Windows Update as well, since I didnt change anything critic recently, but I dont understand why I would be affected and other keyboards wouldnt. Oh well. Cheers!
  4. Hi all, I am looking for a solution to this weird behavior that my keyboard is presenting. Heres whats going on: The "main" area of my keyboard is working halfway fine (letters, number row, enter, punctuation, number pad). I can type, however when I play games, the keyboard is only able to register one key at a time (this in particular I find very weird, cause key rollover is AFAIK implemented in hardware). This is obviously awful, for instance if I press shift to run while walking forwards, the keyboard switches from registering "W" to only registering "Shift", so the character just stands still. Aside from that, the entire area with the "Home", "End", "Scroll Lock" etc is just not working. Nor are the arrow keys, which makes typing awful since I can only navigate to another place in the text with my mouse. Num Lock and Caps Lock also dont work. My first guess was that it was a hardware issue, but the keyboard works fine in other PCs, as well as in my own PC if I boot in Safe Mode. Ive then assumed it was a driver issue, and removed all Keyboard Drivers and then restarted the PC and reconnected the keyboard. Did not work. Ive then reinstalled Windows, which then worked (!) for a couple days, after which the issue came back. Ive tried different USB Ports, but that didnt affect anything. I should also mention that my Keyboard is a Corsair K95 RGB Platinum, which works using Corsairs Software iCue. I originally had it installed, but through that software I already factory reset all KB settings, then didnt even reinstall it after the Windows reinstall. Still the issue didnt leave. Anyone seen anything similar to this? The only possible origin left that I can think of is that maybe some other driver is clashing with the KB driver and intercepting the signals, but I dont know much about the workings of that. Im running Windows 10 on a 6600k and a gtx 980 (I know, I know, an upgrade is due ) Id be very thankful for some help here! Thanks and much love
  5. I wouldn't intensively back this up, but I did hear somewhere that the ideal running wattage being drawn from the wall should be between 40% and 80% of the PSU's capacity. That being said, maybe you *don't* have to get a stronger one, but I would just to be sure. Every card is individual, maybe yours won't be as "saving" as someone else's? I'd just want to be sure and not risk damaging any other of my components. Does that make any sense?
  6. Awesome dude, thanks for the idea. I might just do that. I might also take you up on that offer lol. I just finished my Abitur from here in Brazil and will be moving with my girlfriend to Karlsruhe. Would love to chat another time

  8. This is my list based off their suggestions: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/YhPLt6
  9. So this was the original post: You guys can look at everybody's suggestions if you want, I took their ideas, put in some of my preferences around the same parts (like other versions of GPUs for example) and made a list as a result. Also wanted to thank the dudes that helped me.
  10. I think I got the jist of it from what you guys have told me . I only have one last question. I'm really not an ignorant when it comes to the pc itself (at least with intel and nvidia lol), but I'm kind of lost with the monitor. What is a decent size? If I don't intend on playing competitively, I probably don't need a 1ms latency. Do you guys have any go-to monitors, very bang for the buck? Naturally a 1080p is preferred, but if you guys think there's *just this one 1440p model* that's just to good a deal not to buy, shoot.
  11. That's very nice. Even included a headset, that i actually didnt even think of asking for lolz.
  12. I'd go on a whim and say this is the most reasonable solution. Kind of disappointed it couldn't fit a 980, but that's probably more my pride than real performance for 1080p or futureproofness. What I could do is take out the Hard Drive since I do own one and forgot to mention it and put the money on an Asus Z170A motherboard that is basically the same except the fact that it supports SLI, something that the Z170K does not because it doesn't have as many PCIe lanes to run the minimal amount of 2 PCI 8x.
  13. Well I only mentioned CS:GO to ilustrate how my pc was so weak it couldnt even skyrocket cs go lol but i mean, I love a lot of different kinds of game, even the more resource-needing titles like Shadow of Mordor for example
